RESOLUTION NO. 2007- J1L~ S
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, APPROVING THE NAMING OF THE
PARK LOCATED AT 19200 COLLINS AVENUE AS "HERITAGE
PARK"; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO DO ALL THINGS
NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THE TERMS OF THIS RESOLUTION;
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Commission wanted to purchase additional property for open
space/park purposes in the City of Sunny Isles Beach to improve the "Quality of life" for its
citizens and visitors; and
WHEREAS, on April II, 2006 via Resolution No. 2006-911, the City Commission
approved the purchase of approximately 3.82 acres of real property located at 19200 Collins
A venue for open space/park purposes for residents of Sunny Isles Beach; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission desires to name the Park located at 19200 Collins
Avenue as "Heritage Park".
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Naming of City Park. The City Commission hereby declares that the City
Park located at 19200 Collins A venue be named as "Heritage Park".
Section 2. Authorization of City Manager. The City Manager is hereby authorized to
do all things necessary to effectuate the terms of this resolution.
Section 3.
Effective Date. This Resolution shall become effective upon adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 18th day of January 2007.
