RESOLUTION NO. 2007-JQ11e,
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, APPROVING THE UNIFORM
SIGN PLAN SUBMITTED BY, ARIE PROPERTIES, INC
("AI)PLICANT"), FOR THE PLAZA LOCATED AT 16050
COLLINS AVENUE, SUITES 16048 AND 16050, ATTACHED
HERETO AS EXHIBIT "A"; PROVIDING THE CITY MANAGER
WITH THE AUTHOIUTY TO DO ALL THINGS NECESSARY TO
EFFECTUATE THE TERMS OF THIS RESOLUTION;
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, on February 16, 2006, the City Commission adopted Ordinance No. 2006-
244, amending Article IX of the Land Development Regulations of the City of Sunny Isles Beach
relating to Sign Regulations; and
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 2006-244 (commonly known as the Sign Code) established a
requirement for multi-tenant shopping centers to submit a uniform sign plan for the approval of
the City Commission; and
WHEREAS, under the Sign Code, all signs in multi-tenant plazas must be uniformed in
terms of illumination, material, fabrication, sign area, and terms of color; and
WHEREAS, Unicenter Shopping Center LLC, has submitted a uniform sign plan for
shopping plazas located at 16050 Collins Avenue, Suites 16048 and 16050 attached hereto as
Exhibit "A", for City Commission approval; and
WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning staff has reviewed the plans submitted and finds
that the plans are in compliance with the Sign Code, specifically Section 265-58U).
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Approval of Uniform Sign Plan. The Uniform Sign Plan submitted by, Arie
Properties, Inc, for the plaza located at 16050 Collins A venue, Suites 16048 and 16050, attached
hereto as Exhibit "A", be, and the same, is hereby approved.
Section 2. Authorization of Citv Manager. The City Manager is hereby authorized to do all
things necessary to effectuate the terms of this Resolution.
Section 3.
Effective Date. This Resolution shall become effective upon adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 17th day of May 2007.
