RESOLUTION NO. 2007-~
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, APPROVING THE NAMING OF THE
PARK LOCATED AT 500 SUNNY ISLES BOULEVARD AS "BELLA
VISTA BAY PARK"; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO DO
ALL THINGS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THE TERMS OF THIS
RESOLUTION; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Commission wanted to purchase additional property for open
space/park purposes in the City of Sunny Isles Beach to improve the "Quality of life" for its
citizens and visitors; and
WHEREAS, on November 16, 2006 via Resolution No. 2006-1010, the City
Commission approved the purchase of approximately 0.83 acres of real property located at 500
Sunny Isles Boulevard for open space/park purposes for residents of Sunny Isles Beach; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission desires to name the Park located at 500 Sunny Isles
Boulevard as "Bella Vista Bay Park".
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section I. Naming of City Park, The City Commission hereby declares that the City
Park located at 500 Sunny Isles Boulevard be named as "Bella Vista Bay Park".
Section 2. Authorization of City Manager. The City Manager is hereby authorized to
do all things necessary to effectuate the terms of this resolution.
Seetion 3.
Effective Date. This Resolution shall become effective upon adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 21st day of June 2007.

Naming of Bella Vista Bay Park
At its regular meeting of June 21, 2007, the City Commission adopted Resolution No. 2007-
1126, which named the park located at 500 Sunny Isles Boulevard "Bella Vista Bay Park."
Attached is a copy of the approving legislation for your files.

RE: Naming of Park "Bella Vista Bay Park"
RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the City Commission adopt the attached Resolution naming the park
located at 500 Sunny Isles Boulevard as "Bella Vista Bay Park".
REASONS:
In an effort to improve the quality of life to the City of Sunny Isles Beach residents, the City
Commission wanted to purchase additional property for open space/park purposes.
On November 16, 2006 the City Commission approved the purchase of approximately 0.83 acres
of real property located at 500 Sunny Isles Boulevard for open space/park purposes. The Bay at
this location is called Bella Vista Bay and I felt it would be appropriate to name the adjoining
park "Bella Vista Bay Park" and am now bringing it before the City Commission for discussion.
