RESOLUTION NO. 2007-~
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, APPROVING A BUDGET
AMENDMENT TO FISCAL YEAR 2006-2007 BUDGET, IN THE
AMOUNT OF FIFTEEN THOUSAND DOLLARS ($15,000.00), FOR
THE PURPOSE OF FUNDING THE CONSULTANT AGREEMENT
WITH AMERICAN APPRAISAL ASSOCIATES, INC.; PROVIDING
THE CITY MANAGER WITH THE AUTHORITY TO DO ALL
THINGS NECESSARY TO EFFECUATE THIS RESOLUTION;
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City of Sunny Isles Beach is in need of a professional valuation
consultant to develop a comprehensive report covering the capital assets of the City and to assist
the City in meeting the reporting requirements of the Governmental Accounting Standards
Boards' (GASB) Statement No. 34 and insurance placement; and
WHEREAS, in conjunction with that effort the City wishes to retain American Appraisal
Associates, Inc., in an amount not to exceed Thirteen Thousand Two Hundred Seventy-Five
Dollars ($13,275.00), to perform these services; and
WHEREAS, this project was not included in the 2006-2007 Fiscal Year Budget and the
City Commission wishes to amend the Fiscal Year 2006-2007 Budget to transfer Fifteen
Thousand Dollars ($15,000.00) [$13,275.00 plus a small contingency] from the Contingency
Fund Account, to Finance Department Professional Services, for the purpose of funding the
Consultant Agreement with American Appraisal Associates, Inc.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section I. Approval of the Minor Budget Amendment. The City Commission hereby
approves the following minor budget amendment for the Fiscal Year 2006-2007 adopted budget:

Section 2. Authorization of City Manager. The City Manager is hereby authorized to do all
things necessary to effectuate the terms of this Resolution.
Section 3.
Effective Date. This Resolution will become effective upon adoption.

Approval of Budget Amendment for Appraisal Services
At its regular meeting of July 19, 2007, the City Commission adopted Resolution No. 2007-
1130, which approved an amendment to the FY 2006/2007 Budget, in the amount of $15,000.
