RESOLUTION NO. 2007- 1135
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, APPROVING
THE DEDICATION OF THE BEACH ACCESS LOCATED
AT 180TH STREET AND COLLINS AVENUE TO MICHAEL
DEZER AND HIS FAMILY, IN HONOR AND
APPRECIATION OF THEIR DEDICATION TO THE CITY
OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH; DIRECTING THE CITY
MANAGER AND/OR HIS/HER DESIGNEE TO PLACE
SIGNAGE COMMENSURATE WITH THIS DISTINCTION
AT SAID BEACH ACCESS; AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO DO ALL THINGS NECESSARY TO
EFFECTUATE THE TERMS OF THIS RESOLUTION;
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Dezer Family are being honored for their outstanding vision, leadership
and accomplishments as hotelier, developers, and philanthropist supporting humanitarian causes
in the United States, more particularly the City of Sunny Isles Beach, and in Israel; and
WHEREAS, Michael Dezer and his family have been a vital part of this community
bringing world-wide recognition to the City with the development of the Trump International
Sonesta Beach Resort Hotel, the Trump Palace, Trump Towers, I, II, and III, adding luxurious
residences to the City's inventory of magnificent residences, representing a delicate balance
between world-class standards of service and amenities now associated with "Florida's Riviera"
Sunny Isles Beach; and
WHEREAS, the Dezer family have been active and outstanding members of the City of
Sunny Isles Beach business community; and
WHEREAS, through their relentless efforts, they have brought notability to the Sunny
Isles Beach community, donating their time, expertise and monies for the betterment of Sunny
Isles Beach and its citizens; and
WHEREAS, this Commission would like to honor the Dezer family for their service to
this City by dedicating the beach access located at 180th Street and Collins Avenue to Michael
Dezer and his family.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Dedication of Beach Access. The City Commission hereby dedicates the beach
access located at 180th Street and Collins A venue to Michael Dezer and his family in honor and
appreciation of their dedication to the enhancement oflife in the City of Sunny Isles Beach.

Section 2. Directive to City Manager. The City Commission hereby directs the City
Manager and/or his/her designee to place signage commensurate with this distinction at said
beach access.
Section 3. Authorization of City Manager. The City Manager is hereby authorized to do all
things necessary to effectuate the terms of this Resolution.
Section 4.
Effective Date. This Resolution shall become effective upon adoption.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 19th day of July 2007.

Approval of Dezer Family Beach Access Dedication
At its regular meeting of July 19, 2007, the City Commission adopted Resolution No. 2007-
1135, which approved the dedication of the beach access located at 180th Street and Collins
Avenue to Michael Dezer and family. Attached is a copy of the approving legislation to assist
you in processing this item.
