A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, RATIFYING
THE APPROVAL OF AN AGREEMENT WITH AUDIO
VISUAL INNOV A TIONS (A VI) FOR THE PURCHASE AND
INST ALLA TION OF DVDNCR COMBO PLAYERS, LCD
PANELS, AND RELA TED EQUIPMENT AT THE
COMMUNITY CENTER IN PELICAN COMMUNITY PARK,
IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED SEVENTY THOUSAND
SEVEN HUNDRED FIFTEEN DOLLARS AND THIRTY -SIX
CENTS ($70,715.36), ATTACHED HERETO AS EXHIBIT "A";
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO DO ALL THINGS
NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THE TE~S OF THE
AGREEMENT; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City is in need of DVDNCR Combo Players, LCD Panels, and related
equipment for the Community Center in Pelican Community Park on an expedited basis; and
WHEREAS, our procurement ordinance provides that purchases arising out of or because of
emergencies which shall be defined as a situation, occurrence or matter necessitating immediate or
quick action and not permitting adequate time to utilize the competitive bidding process, are exempt
from the competitive bidding procedures; and
WHEREAS, staff contacted Audio Visual Innovations (A VI) to provide said services, as
they have provided these types of services to the City in the past; and
WHEREAS, A VI was qualified, willing, and able to provide the desired services on the
terms and conditions set forth herein;
WHEREAS, the City Manager contracted with A VI for the purchase and installation of
install DVDNCR Combo Players, LCD Panels, and related equipment, in an amount of Seventy
Thousand Seven Hundred Fifteen Dollars and Thirty-Six Cents ($70,715.36), attached hereto as
Exhibit "A".
WHEREAS, the City Commission wishes to ratify the City Manager's approval of said
Agreement.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Ratify Approval of Agreement. The Agreement with Audio Visual Innovations (A VI)
for purchase and installation ofDVDNCR Combo Players, LCD Panels, and related equipment for
the Community Center at Pelican Community Park, in the amount not to exceed Seventy Thousand

Seven Hundred Fifteen Dollars and Thirty-Six Cents ($70,715.36), attached hereto as Exhibit "A",
be, and the same, is hereby approved.
Section 2. Authorization of City Manager. The City Manager is hereby authorized to do all
things necessary to effectuate the terms of this Resolution.
Section 3.
Effective Date. This Resolution will become effective upon adoption.

12. TERMINATION:

At its regular meeting of September 20, 2007, the City Commission ratified the following
resolutions for services at the Pelican Community Park Recreation Center.

Ratified Agreement with ADT Security Services, Inc.
