A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA,
ESTABLISHING A SCHEDULE FOR CITY COMMISSION
MEETINGS FOR CALENDAR YEAR 2017; PROVIDING
FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Commission for the City of Sunny Isles Beach desires to establish
a schedule of City Commission meetings for calendar year 2017.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT:
Section 1. Approval of 2017 Schedule of Commission Meetings. The schedule for City
Commission meetings for calendar year 2017 shall be as set forth herein.
6:30 p.m. Regular Meeting: 3rd Thursday in January: January 19, 2017
6:30 p.m. Regular Meeting:. 3rd Thursday in February: February 16, 2017
6:30 p.m. Regular Meeting: 3rd Thursday in March: March 16, 2017
6:30 p.m. Regular Meeting: 3rd Thursday in April: April 20, 2017
6:30 p.m. Regular Meeting: 3rd Thursday in May: May 18, 2017
6:30 p.m. Regular Meeting: 3rd Thursday in June: June 15, 2017
6:30 p.m. Regular Meeting: 3rd Thursday in July: July 20, 2017
No Meetings in August
6:30 p.m. Regular Meeting: 3rd Tuesday in September: September 19, 2017
6:30 p.m. Regular Meeting: 3rd Thursday in October: October 19, 2017
6:30 p.m. Regular Meeting: 3rd Thursday in November: November 16, 2017
6:30 p.m. Regular Meeting: 3rd Thursday in December: December 21, 2017
Section 2. Effective Date. This Resolution shall beco - effec ,ve upon adoption.

RE: Establishing a Schedule for City Commission Meetings
for Calendar Year 2017
RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the City Commission adopt the attached
Resolution establishing a schedule for City Commission meetings for
calendar year 2017.
REASONS:
The City Commission desires to establish a regular schedule of City
Commission meetings for calendar year 2017. Consistent with the
requirements of City Code Section 74-6, all of the monthly meetings
have been scheduled for the third Thursday of each month beginning at
6:30 p.m., with the exception of the September meeting. Rosh
Hashanah occurs on Thursday, September 21, 2017, and therefore the
meeting has been scheduled on Tuesday, September 19, 2017
beginning at 6:30 p.m.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
The City Manager is recommending no regular Commission meeting in
August as that is when several Budget Workshops are scheduled.
