A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, APPROVING
THE NAMING OF A PARK BENCH THE "LEE LIEBMAN
P ARK BENCH" IN HONOR AND APPRECIATION OF HER
DEDICATION TO THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH;
DIRECTING THE CITY MANAGER AND/OR HISIHER
DESIGNEE TO PLACE SIGNAGE COMMENSURATE
WITH THIS DISTINCTION ON SAID PARK BENCH;
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO DO ALL
THINGS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THIS
RESOLUTION; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Lee Liebman has been an active and outstanding member of the City of
Sunny Isles Beach community; and
WHEREAS, Lee Liebman has served as a member on the Community Traffic Safety
Team & American Disability Act Advisory Committee, and the Traffic and Safety Committee of
the Mayor's Advisory Council; and
WHEREAS, through her relentless efforts she was instrumental in the incorporation of
the City, she has donated her time and expertise on many City projects and functions for the
betterment of Sunny Isles Beach and its citizens, and she continues to faithfully attend the City
Commission meetings; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission would like to honor her for her dedication to the City
by naming a park bench as "Lee Liebman Park Bench", the location of the park bench to be
determined.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Naming of Park Bench. The City Commission hereby names a park bench
as the "Lee Liebman Park Bench" in honor and appreciation of Lee Liebman's dedication to the
enhancement of life in the City of Sunny Isles Beach.
Section 2. Directive to City Manager. The City Commission hereby directs the City
Manager and/or his/her designee to place signage commensurate with this distinction on said
park bench.
Section 3. Authorization of City Manager. The City Manager is hereby authorized to do all
things necessary to effectuate this Resolution.
Section 4.
Effective Date. This Resolution shall become effective upon adoption.
