A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AMENDING
RESOLUTION NO. 2008-1308, THE 2009 CITY COMMISSION
MEETING SCHEDULE, BY ADDING SPECIAL CITY
COMMISSION MEETINGS TENTATIVELY ON THURSDAY,
SEPTEMBER 10, 2009, AND ON TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 22,
2009, AT 6:30 P.M., FOR FISCAL YEAR 2009/2010 BUDGET
HEARINGS; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Sunny Isles Beach desires to revise the
established schedule of City Commission meetings for the remainder of calendar year 2009; and
WHEREAS, specifically the City Commission wishes to add Special City Commission
meetings tentatively on Thursday, September 10,2009, and Tuesday, September 22, 2009,
at 6:30 p.m., for Fiscal Year 2009/2010 budget hearings.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT:
Section 1. Approval of Revised 2009 Schedule of Commission Meetings. The schedule for
City Commission meetings for calendar year 2009 shall be revised as set forth herein:

Section 2.
Effective Date. This Resolution shall become effective upon adoption.

Revise the City Commission Meeting 2009 Schedule
RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the City Commission adopt the attached Resolution amending the
schedule of City Commission meetings for the remainder of the year 2009, by adding
Special City Commission meetings for Fiscal Year 2009/20 I 0 Budget Hearings.
REASONS:
We need to schedule Special City Commission meetings for the purpose of establishing a
Millage rate and consideration of adoption of a proposed budget for Fiscal Year
2009/2010, which needs to be scheduled around the Miami-Dade County Commission
and Miami-Dade County School Board meeting schedules. Therefore it is requested that
the City Commission schedule a Special City Commission meeting tentatively on
Thursday, September 10, 2009, at 6:30 p.m., for the First Budget Hearing; and on
Tuesday, September 22,2009, at 6:30 p.m., to adopt the Final Budget.
