REASONS: Recently, the City Commission of the City of Miami passed a Resolution urging President Barack Obama to grant temporary protection status to Haitian asylum seekers in the United States. I strongly agree with the Resolution passed by the City of Miami because temporary protection status has been granted to other similarly situated immigrants. Temporary protection status will allow Haitian immigrants an opportunity to make a living while they seek to make their status legal. ATTACHMENTS: .
