A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, RATIFYING THE PURCHASE
OF AN "LUKE" MASTER METER FROM PARKER SYSTEMS
TO BE PLACED IN THE PARKING LOT AT 255 SUNNY ISLES
BOULEVARD, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED FOURTEEN
THOUSAND FORTY-FOUR DOLLARS AND SEVENTY-SEVEN
CENTS ($14,044.77); AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
DO ALL THINGS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THIS
RESOLUTION; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City of Sunny Isles Beach needed to purchase a master meter to replace
the master meter at 255 Sunny Isles Boulevard Parking Lot; and
WHEREAS, Parker Systems had the lowest responsive responsible quote, and was
willing and able to provide the desired services; and
WHEREAS, Parker Systems submitted a proposal to the City to provide a "Luke" Master
Meters to be placed in the parking lot at 255 Sunny Isles Boulevard, in an amount not to exceed
Fourteen Thousand Forty-Four Dollars and Seventy-Seven Cents ($14,044.77).
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Ratifying the Purchase. The City Commission hereby approves the purchase of a
"Luke" Master Meter from Parker Systems, in an amount not to exceed Fourteen Thousand
Forty-Four Dollars and Seventy-Seven Cents ($14,044.77), to be placed in the parking lot at 255
Sunny Isles Boulevard.
Section 2. Authorization of City Manager. The City Manager is hereby authorized to do all
things necessary to effectuate this Resolution
Section 3.
Effective Date. This Resolution shall become effective upon adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 15th day of October 2009.

Purchase of Master Meter
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends approval of this resolution ratifiying the purchase of a master meter.
REASONS:
The City purchased a vacant property on Sunny Isles Blvd. which will be used for
surface parking. The City purchased the master meter in August of this year to be
installed at the parking lot. The attached resolution is to ratify the purchase of this meter,
which is already installed. The cost of the meter is $14,044.70 and was purchased from
Parker Systems.
