A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH OF
MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, FLORIDA, ESTABLISHING THE
CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH AD VALOREM TAX
MILLAGE LEVY RATE AT 2.4000 MILLS PER ONE
THOUSAND DOLLARS($1,000.00)OF TAXABLE ASSESSED
VALUE WHICH IS 5.06% MORE THAN THE "ROLLED
BACK" RATE OF 2.2844 MILLS, FOR FISCAL YEAR
2016/2017; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS,the Property Appraiser of Miami-Dade County,Florida,served upon the City of
Sunny Isles Beach a"Certification of 2016 Taxable Value"; and
WHEREAS,pursuant to Section 200.065,F.S.,the City of Sunny Isles Beach furnished the
County Property Appraiser the proposed millage rate, and the date, time and place at which public
hearings will be held to consider the tentative millage rate and tentative budget; and
WHEREAS, on September 6, 2016, the City Commission adopted Resolution No. 2016-
2576, adopting tentatively the proposed ad valorem tax millage levy rate at 2.4000 mills per One
Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00) of taxable assessed value.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Establish the Millage Rate. The millage rate is hereby established as 2.4000 mills per
One Thousand Dollars($1,000.00)of assessed property value in the City of Sunny Isles Beach. The
millage reflected is 5.06% more than the "rolled back" rate of 2.2844 mills, for Fiscal Year
2016/2017.
Section 2. Effective Date. This Resolution shall become effective upon adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED on this 15th day of September 2016, at 6:00 p.m.
PASSED AND READOPTED on this 20th day of October 2016, at (0:70 p.m.
