ORDINANCE NO. 97- L
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA
ADOPTING A GENERAL FUND OPERATING AND CAPITAL BUDGET
FOR THE FISCAL YEAR COMMENCING JUNE 16, 1997 AND ENDING
SEPTEMBER 30, 1997; PROVIDING FOR POST AUDIT; PROVIDING
FOR EXPENDITURE OF FUNDS APPROPRIATED IN THE BUDGET;
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, in lieu of a City Manager who has not yet been hired, the Mayor presented
to the City Commission a General fund Operating and Capital Budget for the Fiscal Year
commencing June 16, 1997 and ending September 30, 1997, pursuant to Section 3.2 of the City
Charter and the City Commission scheduled a public hearing, as required by Florida Statutes, to
be held on September 11, 1997; and
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 10
Budiet Adoptiono That the General Fund Operating and Capital
Budget for the Fiscal year commencing June 16, 1997 and ending September 30, 1997, attached
as Exhibit "A", is hereby adopted.
Section 20
Post Audit Providedo Pursuant to Section 4010 of the City Charter
and Section 218.23 (1)(b), the City Commission hereby provides for annual post audits of the
City's financial accounts. The City Manager, when hired, is authorized to take all steps necessary
to cause such post audit to be made by a certified public accountant or firm of such accountants
in accordance with law.
Section 30
Expenditure of Funds Apprqpriatedin the Budlet Authorized. Funds
appropriated in the Budget may be expended by the City Commission in accordance with the
provisions of the City Charter and applicable law 0 Funds of the City shall be expended in

accordance with the appropriations provided in the Budget adopted by this Ordinance and shall
constitute an appropriation of the amounts specified thereino Supplemental appropriations or the
reduction of appropriations, if any, shall be made in accordance with Section
of the
City Charter.
Section 40
Effective Date 0 This Ordinance shall be effective ten days after
adoption on second readingo
