ORDINANCE NO. 97-7
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA
ESTABLISHING THE OPERATING DEPARTMENTS OF
THE CITY; PROVIDING SEVERABILITY AND AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Sunny Isles Beach is adopting a fiscal
budget for October 1, 1997 through September 30, 1998; and
WHEREAS, funds have been allocated in that budget to various departments of the city
government that must be created as provided herein.
NOW THEREFORE IT IS HEREBY ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. City Departments Createdo For the purpose of systematically and efficiently
administering the operations of the City of Sunny Isles Beach, the following departments of
government within the City are hereby established:
1. Office of the City Manager;
20 Finance and Support Services;
3. Law Department;
4. City Clerk's Office;
50 Planning, Building and Zoning;
7. Community Services.
80 Public Safety Department
Section 20 Severability. The provisions of this Ordinance are declared to be severable and

if any section, sentence, clause or phrase of this Ordinance shall for any reason be held to be
invalid or unconstitutional, such decision shall not affect the validity of the remaining sections,
sentences, clauses, and phrases of this Ordinance, but they shall remain in effect, it being the
legislative intent that this Ordinance shall stand notwithstanding the invalidity of any part.
Section 30 Effective Date. This Ordinance shall become effective ten days after adoption
on second readingo
FIRST READING on the 11th day of September, 1997.
SECOND READING this 25th day of September, 199'1.
