Dade CC#E- 1353 · Broward tic. #CC96- 1436E Similar Projeet Narrative Miguel Lopez Jr, Inc has performed various related drainage projects over the recent years however the one project that stands out as being one of the same difficulty as the Sunny Isles project is Plantation Acres Drainage Main "A". This project was completed in 2008-2009 and was an original contract value of 788K. The project consisted of tying various ponds together in Plantation, FL through various drainage pIpes. The project was throughout the entire neighborhood and required the installation of enormous concrete head walls whenever an outfall was needed at a pond. We had to employ cranes and large equipment in order to complete some of the headwalls. Another aspect of the project in which I can compare to the current project is the tight space available. Our project in plantation basically ran behind houses and through 10' wide utility easements, which was a very difficult task. In the end, the project came out very nice. We completed under contract time and under budget. We hope to work with the City of Sunny Isles Beach on this RFP and employ some of the same customer service we provided Plantation Acres. Dade CC#E- 1353 · Broward Lic. #CC96- 1436E Projeet Coordination & Sehedule The Central Island Emergency Outfall project listed in this RFP has its difficult phase but for the most part it is a straight forward project. After studying the plans and field conditions Miguel Lopez Jr Inc would perform the work in the following manner; The project would commence with the core drilling of the existing inlet on North Bay Road. From there we would install Structures 1 & 2 and trying to keep the damage to a minimum. Next would be the installation of the control structure and line. Depending on the weight of the structure we may rent a small crane to install the structure. Obviously the final run to the seawall would be done last. In order to complete this phase we would have to cut back the existing CBS wall by 10 feet. We would then hire a professional concrete cutting contractor to come in and core the seawall. We would study the tidal conditions and time the cut so that it is low tide. By doing this it will minimize the water intrusion through the new opening. Lastly we would demolish the F curb and install the trench drain as indicated on the plans. After this everything will be restored to original condition. Miguel Lopez Jr, Inc estimates the time to complete the project would be 90 calendar days. The trench drain material can take a long lead time so we need to ensure we have ample time to consider this. The City of Sunny Isles Beach (the "City") intends to enter into an agreement with the successful Proposer to perform Central Island Emerqency Outfalls Improvements in the City of Sunny Isles Beach, Florida. The project is located on North Bay Road between 179th Drive and 180th Drive in the City. The proposed proiect consists of installing a new 24-inch outfall, trench drain, catch basin and connectinq piping. Proposer submitting bids on this project are expected to familiarize themselves with the DERM approved drawings, attached hereto. The estimated construction budget for the Central Island Emergency Outfalls Improvements project is $50,000.00 (fifty thousand dollars). The successful Proposer shall achieve substantial completion of the work described herein no later than 60 (sixty) days from the issuance of a Notice to Proceed from the City. As a result of this amendment, the RFP opening date has changed from Wednesday, September 15, 2010 to Friday, September 24, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. END OF SECTION
