OUR MARKET Buyers seeking to contract services from a professional and straightforward firm, prompt in responding when summoned, and open to the sort of dialogue that leads to win-win agreements for both our clients and ourselves. OUR FACTS We specialize in structural engineering consulting, offering the various services mentioned earlier, and we are able to handle multiple and diverse projects at once that may range from a railing shop drawing to a full scope building design. We are mindful as engineers of our ethical and moral duty to put safety of life and property of people as our first professional priority. Our key personnel have over 20 years of structural engineering experience in the US and abroad, and the rest of our technical staff have Bachelor's Degrees in Civil Engineering, (and specialization in Structural). Each of our projects undergoes peer and supervisory review throughout its entire progress for quality assurance purposes, before it is submitted to the client. We guarantee effective tracking of every project both technically and financially, using our in-house generated software PAS Concept, (as timeliness and cost effectiveness are important components of the quality assurance process). We have in-house all the necessary equipment and resources to carry out every contracted job. All tasks in our firm are interchangeable between two or more employees, so that no project or administrative task is jeopardized if its designated staff member becomes sick, or is absent on leave. We ensure ease of contact with our Company's team members via telephone, fax, and email Monday through Friday during office hours; and with our Principals on weekends and evenings for urgent purposes. We actively capitalize on the opportunity that being a small firm lends us to exercise more flexibility, innovation and adaptability according to the needs and interests of each client. As a young Small Business: We believe that guaranteeing a job for each of our employees is the Company's paramount goal in contributing to an adequate livelihood for them, and each new contracted assists us in accomplishing it. We are interested in building more experience working with public sector buyers, and reputation, as they frequently measure qualifications not only in terms of professional practice, but also in terms of proven ability to perform satisfactorily for government purchasers. We uphold the conviction that by consistently giving contract participation to small woman-owned businesses such as ours, governmental agencies help narrow the gap that too often separates disadvantaged businesses from growth and success. ~~ C;; Eastern Engineering Group r\\\\ ~'})) m ll.l III .... BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT AND RELEVANCE TO THIS CONTRACT (Include scope, size, and cost) (305) 443-2933 Structural design for the replacement of the 4,500 square feet cafeteria floor and the first floor exterior corridor slab of 7,200 square feet, in this building dating from 1942, The main structural concrete beams in the cafeteria remained in place since they had been recently repaired and the new design consisted of a system of steel joists and metal deck spanning between the existing concrete beams, Two challenging features in this project were that all works were carried out through a crawl space of approximately 3 feet below the first level of the cafeteria building; and that the existing corridor slab at the perimeter of the building had to be demolished and replaced in alternating 10-feet sections, since electrical conducts remained hanging from the slab during the construction process. The concrete beams supporting the corridor slab were repaired as needed, Eastern Engineering Group prepared structural construction plans and specifications and provided construction administration services for the General Contractor of the project, 25.
