STATEMENT OF EXPERIENCE: What The Nodarse Team "Brings To The Table" N&A is experienced in many threshold building projects including those with deep foundation piles, including load tests for auger cast or auger pressure grout displacement piles. Many buildings we have inspected use cast in place post tensioned flat slab structural designs which require us to monitor the placement and tensioning (elongation) of the tendons. Many of these structures have precast concrete panels or tilt-up concrete panels that must be inspected as to their physical characteristics and connections to the structure (welded or bolted). Many projects also have precast, prestressed parking garages, and some of our recent building structures have been precast. We also have visited many precast plants through the years. Other building structures have used reinforced masonry for structural bearing walls. Observations have been provided for concrete masonry units, brick, mortar, reinforcing steel and fill cells. I I I We have been involved with structures having structural steel members consisting of beams, girders, trusses, joists, related bracing and metal roof decking, full penetration welded and high strength bolted connections, and observation of lifting and erection sequences. Our Certified Welding Inspectors (CWls) are very experienced in visual observation of steel members, including fabrication shop inspections for these projects. Some structural members have sprayed-on fire resistive coatings that we inspect. OUf people have also inspected curtainwall structures. ItlDARSE & A $ $ 0 C I ATE $, INC. Members of the Nodarse Team were involved with Fabricating Shop inspections of all long span girders and joists insuring that properly certified welders were utilized, that proper grade, size and thickness of angle steel were used, and that welds passed visual inspection for quality assurance. I I I Project Description: The first phase of the $1.4 billion Miami Intermodal Center includes construction of road and highway improvements, construction of the first phase MIC Central Station core, the consolidated Rental Car Center (3.4 million sf, 6,500 car capacity) and the construction of the MIC/MIA people mover system. Driven piles and pile caps provide foundation support for this reinforced concrete structural frame. Structural masonry walls are provided and long span steel trusses are utilized for clear space lobbies and to bridge rail lines to provide pedestrian transport. This project was complete in 2008. Welded and bolted connections for structural steel were also inspected. I I Project Description: This is a 34-story, 1.2 million sf, mixed-use high-rise structure in downtown Orlando contains 405 condominiums, approximately 52,000 sf of retail space and parking for 1,072 cars in an attached II-story parking garage. Founded on 1100 auger pressure grout displacement piles and pile caps, the structure is comprised of reinforced concrete columns and post tensioned elevated concrete slabs. Precast exterior wall panels are utilized. The signature building "cap" is constructed of structural steel and metal roof deck. Due to the urban nature of the job site, sheet piling was utilized to allow site excavation, dewatering was required, underpinning of very old adjacent structures was utilized and due to an expedited construction schedule, two testing and threshold inspection crews were utilized to observe construction during normal daylight hours as well as after hour concrete pours. This project was complete in 2008. I I I I THE VUE AT LAKE EOLA I Project Description: This project, known as Orlando's tallest residential structure, consists of a 35-story, 384-unit condominium and 7-story parking garage on a 1.74 acre site overlooking Lake Eola. Construction cost is estimated at $100 million. The structure is founded on approximately 820 auger pressure grout displacement piles and pile caps. To expedite the construction schedule, the contractor utilized a tunnel form system to turn an entire floor every five days. Due to City requirements, concrete placement operations had to occur in the evenings to maintain traffic through the area. To assist the contractor in making up delays at the beginning of the project, two testing and threshold inspection crews were utilized, Test results from concrete cylinders the night before were provided early the following morning so the forms could be moved at the earliest possible time. This project was complete in 2007. Client: Liberty Place Orlando, LLC/Churchill Development Contractor: Turner Construction Company Contact: Mr. Dave Riley, (407) 841-7984; 200 E. Project Description: This 6-story plus basement, 336,000 sf courthouse in downtown Orlando is founded on auger pressure grout displacement pilings and pile caps due to the high column loads generated by the long spans required by the 16 courtroom spaces and heavy I ive loads. Constructed to GSA blast resistive design standards, the building utilizes a cast in place concrete structure, reinforced masonry walls, and a glass curtainwall around a 4-story lobby. An underground tunnel provides safe passage between the existing courthouse and this new facility. Three story structured parking is also provided. The structure took approximately one year to top out. This $83 million project was completed in 2007. Associated site improvements, utilities, road infrastructure and parking are also included, Approximately 200 auger cast piles and pile caps support high column load areas along opposing perimeter walls of the Exhibition Hall and shallow foundations support other areas of the structure. The building is constructed of cast-in-place reinforced concrete including concrete columns, post-tensioned elevated concrete slabs, reinforced concrete and structural masonry walls and varying arrangements of open-web steel joists and steel girders supporting a corrugated metal roof deck and roof system. Exterior walls consist of tilt wall concrete panels welded to the steel structure. The main Exhibition Hall dimensions are 327' x 295' by 57' high which results in the use of 300 foot long open- web steel trusses. Completion is scheduled for January 2009. It is our commitment to the City of Sunny Isles Beach that we will complete the required threshold inspection services required for this project in a timely and cost efficient manner. I It is important to note that for our type of work, we typically work on fast "turnaround" completion basis. Most specific project tasks are requested with expectation of quick response and completion. Seldom do we get work or projects that tax our people, resources and capabilities for a long time. Typically, in any one day, our staff-to-work ratio may vary from less than 50% to near full capacity. Hence, our workload varies from week-to-week and sometimes day-to-day. This is simply the nature of our work and we are accustomed to it.
