Bidders for the above - referenced project shall take note of the following changes,
additions, deletions, clarifications, etc. to the Plans and Specifications, which in
accordance with the Contract Documents shall become a part of and have
precedence over anything shown or described otherwise.
IN THE CONTRACT DOCUMENTS:
1 . In Document 00300, replace section in its entirety.
All other documents, specifications, drawings, terms and conditions remain the
same.
Bidders must acknowledge receipt of Addendum on Page 00300 -5.

The undersigned Bidder has carefully examined the Bidding Documents and the site of the proposed work
and is familiar with the nature and extent o" the work and any lo:::l conditions that may in any manner
affect the work to be done.
The undersigned Bidder agrees to do all the work and furnish all materials called for by the Bidding
Documents, in the manner prescribed therein and to the standards of quality and performance established
by the Engineer for the unit price amounts slated in the spaces hei: in provided, for each of the items or
combination of items stipulated. Unit price line items shall include cost of implementing all applicable
safety requirements. Bidder acknowledges that estimated quantities scheduled are approximated for the
sole purpose of obtaining comparative bids for determination of the lowest responsible bidder and actual
quantities required nmgv increase or decrease. Bidder further agrees that payments will he made on the

BID SECURITY
Accompanying this Bid is a certified or cashier's check or a bid bond in the amount of $ 5% of the bid or
$5,000.00, whichever is less made payable to the Owner which may be forfeited as liquidated damages if,
in the event this proposal is accepted, the undersigned fails to execute the Agreement and furnish and pay
for the required performance and payment bonds for the Owner within 10 days after acceptance of the
Bid; otherwise said certified or cashier's check or bid bond will be returned to the undersigned.
The undersigned Bidder agrees to commence work within 10 days after the date of written Notice to
Proceed, and further agrees to substantially complete the work within 90 consecutive calendar days
after the date of written Notice to Proceed, subject to such extensions of time allowed by the Conditions
of the Contract.
The undersigned Bidder also agrees to complete the entire work within 120_ days after the Contract
time commences to run.
The undersigned Bidder agrees that this Bid shall be good and may not be withdrawn for a period of 60
days after the scheduled closing time for receiving bids.
The undersigned agrees to forfeit to the Owner, as liquidated damages for each calendar day elapsing

To All Bidders:
Bidders for the above - referenced project shall take note of the following changes,
additions, deletions, clarifications, etc. to the Plans and Specifications, which in
accordance with the Contract Documents shall become a part of and have
precedence over anything shown or described otherwise.
IN THE CONTRACT DOCUMENTS:
1. In Document 13125, replace section in its entirety.
2. Attached Pre -Bid Minutes to be added to contract documents.
3. Response to Bidder` s RFI:
- RFI from SA Consultants, LLC: The steel building specified for this project
is not pre - fabricated. The manufacturer will ship building part, and the
general contractor shall assemble the building with the supplied parts.
Since the building is not pre - assembled, not only the structure but
also the roof, interior finishes, toilet accessories, plumbing rough -in &
fixtures, HVAC ducts & vents, lights and the electrical rough & panels
shall be installed at the site. The manufacturer will provide Architectural,
Structural & MEP plans & drawings after the building has been
purchased. Hence this will make it difficult if not impossible to come up
with a price for this portion of project.
Please advice,
Response: The building is pre - fabricated but not pre - assembled, it is
the responsibility of the contractor to coordinate what means and
methods are required to assemble it in conjunction with the
manufacture.
RFI from Lambert Bros. Inc.: Per RCP shelters (your specified building
supplier), we will need to supply a foundation designed by a certified
Florida Structural Engineer. Are we responsible for the structural Engineer
to design the foundation, or will the City take care of it? If we include the
cost of foundation in the proposal, what should we base our price on?
&Sponse: It is the responsibility of the contractor to include the
Structural Engineer for the foundations, The City will supply at the

time of design the Soil Testing Report. For bidding purposes assume
that the minimum slab thickness shall be eight (8) inches or greater to
accommodate anchor bolts and structural members. Monolithic or
thickened slabs are permissible for this project.
All other documents, specifications, drawings, terms and conditions remain the
same.
Bidders must acknowledge receipt of Addendum on Page 00300 -5.

SECTION 13125
ALL STEEL GABLE RESTROOM & OFFICE SHELTER
TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
I. Design Criteria: Structure(s) shall be designed to be free standing, open air pavilion,
in conformance with all applicable building code. Manufactured by RCP Shelters: PH:
800 -525 -0207, web: www.rcnshelters.com.; or approved equal.
II. Scope: Rectangular picnic pavilion over a minimum slab thickness of eight (8) inches
or greater to accommodate anchor bolts and structural members. Monolithic or
thickened slabs are permissible for this project_ Shelter shall have a clear space,
without a center column or open knee bracing. The contractor shall be responsible for
unloading, temporary storage, soil testing (if necessary), site preparation, concrete slab,
and erection of structures. Structure will be designed by professional, registered
engineers.
Restrooms shall be framed under specified shelter. Plumbing and electrical engineering
included in package_ Plumbing and electrical rough -in shall be performed by owner or
contractor. Plumbing and electrical. fixtures are to be supplied by the contractor.
III. Eave & Pitch: Eave height to be minimum 7' -6" at columns. Roof pitch shall be
4:12.
IV, Columns: Columns shall be structural tube steel with based plate, cap, and beam to
column connection. The shelter shall be set on prepared concrete footings. Foundation
will be designed and constructed to meet the local code and good construction practices
for the specific site conditions. The structure shall be attached to the top of the concrete
by use of four (4) anchor bolts per column as specified by the manufacturer. Anchor
bolts, (supplied by GC), shall be hidden by the concrete pad.
V. Frame: All structural framing shall be structural tube steel with end caps to form a
clean, neat appearance with no place for bird nesting. Since all connections will bolt
together, field welding shall not be required. Bolts shall be concealed within the tubing
where possible. The steel frame and columns shall be ;Factory prime painted with a rust
inhibitive modified alkyd pruner according to Steel Strictures Painting Council (SSPC-
SP2) as outlined in RISC 6.5.
VI. Column/Frame Finish: Steel columns and frame to be factory prime painted with a
rust inhibitive modified alkyd primer according to Steel Structures Painting Council
(SSPC -SP2) as outlined in AISC 6.5. The columns and frame shall be finished painted
in the field with a weather resistant paint, supplied and applied by the contractor.
■ Factory Finish Paint: The columns and frame shall be factory finish painted
with two coats weather resistant enamel paint.

■ Powder Coat: The columns and frame shall receive one coat zinc rich primer,
then top coated with polyester powder- coating, 4 to 6 mils. The frame shall be
packaged in foam, cardboard, and stretch wrap to protect the finish during
transit.
VIi. Roofing: The roof system shall be 24 -gauge galvanized steel panels with 1- 3/16'' high
ribs, 12" on center. It shall be precut into panels 3' wide by the length from the eave to
the ridge. Angles shall be factory precut. Matching roof trim and fasteners shall be
supplied. Ribs shall run with the pitch of the roof For proper drainage. Hip and ridge
beams must have cap plates for metal deck bearing. Metal deck cannot bear on beam
comer only. Panels shall be pre- painted with a "Kynar 500" paint system to a color
selected by owner from the standard color chart.
VIII• Pre - Engineered Package: The shelter shall be pre -cut and pre- fabricated package that
shall include the structural steel frame, panelized pre- finished roof, fasteners, trim and
installation drawings. The stricture shall be shipped in a knocked down manner for
minimum shipping charges.
IX. Doors: Exterior doors (4) shall be 3' -0" x 6' -8" 18 -gauge metal clad, flush doors with
16 -gauge metal frame. Doors shall be prepared to receive hardware and be prime
painted. Doors shall include commercial hinges, levered handled locks, and
commercial closures. Field .finish painting of doors and frames shall be by owner or
installer.
X. Walls: Exterior walls shall be horizontal cedar lap siding over OSB sheathing.
HardipIank siding may be chosen in lieu of cedar lap siding. Nominal 2" x 6" SPF
studs shall be spaced a Maximum 16" on center. Bottom plate shall be #2 grade or
better CCA pressure treated Southern Yellow Pine with. 12" anchor bolts 48" on center.
Top plates and blocking shall be included. Interior walls shall be vandal and graffiti
resistant FRP panels, field laminated to % moisture resistant gypsum board with RCP
supplied adhesive. All trim shall be included.
XI. PIumbing Fixtures: All fixtures shall be vitreous china. All accessories shall be
stainless steel. Pipe, rough -in, and miscellaneous connection hardware supplied by
others. Plumbing chase to have a standard '/Z key handle hose bibb.

XIV. Ventilation:
■ Electric Exhaust Fans: Each restroom shall have an electric exhaust fan for
ventilation. Electric exhaust fans must be used if the enclosed portion is
insulated.
■ Cedar Ventilation Louvers: Each restroom shall have four (4) cedar
ventilation louvers.
