A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, APPROVING THE
PURCHASE OF TWO (2) "LUKE" MASTER METERS FROM
PARKER SYSTEMS TO BE PLACED IN THE PARKING
GARAGE AT HERITAGE PARK, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO
EXCEED NINETEEN THOUSAND SEVEN HUNDRED SEVENTY-
TWO DOLLARS AND EIGHTY CENTS ($19,772.80);
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO DO ALL THINGS
NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THIS RESOLUTION;
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City of Sunny Isles Beach needs to purchase two (2) master meters to
place in the parking garage of Heritage Park; and
WHEREAS, Parker Systems had the lowest responsive responsible quote, and was
willing and able to provide the desired services; and
WHEREAS, Parker Systems submitted a proposal to the City to provide Two (2) "Luke"
Master Meters to be placed in the parking garage at Heritage Park, in an amount not to exceed
Nineteen Thousand Seven Hundred Seventy-Two Dollars and Eighty Cents ($19,772.80).
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Approval of Purchase. The City Commission hereby approves the purchase of two
(2) "Luke" Master Meters from Parker Systems, in an amount not to exceed Nineteen Thousand
Seven Hundred Seventy-Two Dollars and Eighty Cents ($19,772.80), to be placed in the parking
garage at Heritage Park.
Section 2. Authorization of City Manager. The City Manager is hereby authorized to do all
things necessary to effectuate this Resolution
Section 3.
Effective Date. This Resolution shall become effective upon adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 1 ih day of March 2011.

Purchase oftwo "Luke" master meters for Heritage Park Parking Garage
RECOMMENDATION:
Commission approve the purchase of two "Luke" master meters from Parker Systems to
be installed at the Heritage Park Parking Garage.
REASONS:
Parking meters have been utilized by the City to address parking demand throughout the
community. The additional 100 public parking spaces created at Heritage Park will be
metered in a manner similar to other public parking areas in the City.
Staff obtained 3 quotes from the following vendors:
. Parker Systems
. Ventek International
. Mackey Meters
Parker Systems was found to be the lowest responsive responsible vendor, in the amount
not to exceed $19,772.80.
