A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA,
EST ABLISHING A SCHEDULE FOR CITY COMMISSION
MEETINGS FOR CALENDAR YEAR 2012; PROVIDING
FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Commission for the City of Sunny Isles Beach desires to establish
a schedule of City Commission meetings for calendar year 2012; and
WHEREAS, the third Tuesday of the month is reserved for City Commission
Workshops needed for review of the City Commission meeting agenda beginning at 10:00 a.m.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT:
Section 1. Approval of 2012 Schedule of Commission Meetings. The schedule for City
Commission meetings for calendar year 2012 shall be as set forth herein, and the third Tuesday
of the month is reserved for City Commission Workshops beginning at 10:00 a.m.

6:30 p.m. Regular Meeting: 3rd Thursday in March:
6:30 p.m. Regular Meeting: 3rd Thursday in April:

6:30 p.m. Regular Meeting: 3rd Thursday in July:

6:30 p.m. Regular Meeting: 3rd Thursday in September:
6:30 p.m. Regular Meeting: 3rd Thursday in October:

Establishing a Schedule for City Commission Meetings for Calendar
Year 2012
RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the City Commission adopt the attached Resolution establishing a
schedule for City Commission meetings for calendar year 2012.
REASONS:
The City Commission desires to establish a regular schedule of City Commission
meetings for calendar year 2012. Consistent with the requirements of City Code Section
74-6, all of the monthly meetings have been scheduled for the third Thursday of each
month beginning at 6:30 p.m., with the exception of May's meeting. It is scheduled on the
second Thursday, May 10, 2012, as the Mayor will be out of town on May 17. In
addition, the third Tuesday of the month is reserved for City Commission Workshops
beginning at 10:00 a.m. to review that months' agenda, with the exception of May's
Workshop which will be held on the second Tuesday, May 8,2012..
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
The City Manager is recommending no regular Commission meeting in August as that is
when several Budget Workshops are scheduled.
