COMPUTER COMPANY, FOR THE POLICE DEP ARTMENT'S DETACHED DETECTIVEIDEA TASK FORCE, IN A TOTAL AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $14,050.00, ATTACHED HERETO AS EXHIBIT "A"; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO DO ALL THINGS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THIS RESOLUTION; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the Sunny Isles Beach Police Department provides staffing and equipment to the Task Force units to assist in their proactive criminal investigations and prosecution; and WHEREAS, the Sunny Isles BeachlDEA Task Force has requested ten (10) Macbook Pro Laptop Computers to assist with tracking of surveillance vehicles, storage of investigative data and other investigative purposes, from L.A. Computer Company who was the most responsive bidder to Police Bid Request #1108-004-10, in an amount not to exceed Fourteen Thousand Fifty Dollars ($14,050.00), attached hereto as Exhibit "A"; and WHEREAS, staff determined that the above charges were reasonable and customary for said purchase and recommends that the Commission approve the purchase; and WHEREAS, funding for the above Macbook Pro Laptop Computers and accessories will be paid for through the Department of Justice (DOJ) Forfeiture Funds. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Authorizing the Purchase of Laptop Computers. The City Commission hereby authorizes the purchase of ten (10) Macbook Pro Laptop Computers and accessories from L.A. Computer Company, in an amount not to exceed Fourteen Thousand Fifty Dollars ($14,050.00), Attached hereto as Exhibit "A". Section 2. Authorization of City Manager. The City Manager is hereby authorized to do all things necessary to effectuate this Resolution. Section 3. Effective Date. This Resolution shall become effective upon adoption.
