A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, RATIFYING
THE DONATION OF TWO (2) FORD CROWN VICTORIA
VEHICLES TO THE VILLAGE OF BISCAYNE PARK;
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO DO ALL
THINGS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THIS
RESOLUTION; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City of Sunny Isles Beach has retired two (2) of its Ford Crown
Victoria vehicles; and
WHEREAS, the Village of Biscayne Park has been under fiscal distress and were in dire
need of police vehicles; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission wishes to donate the two vehicles to the Village of
Biscayne Park to help serve their public safety needs; and
WHEREAS, specifically, the City Commission proposes the donation of a 2001 Ford
Crown Victoria vehicle (VIN #2F AFP7l W5lX1240l6), and a 2001 Ford Crown Victoria
vehicle (VIN #2FAFP71 WXIX12l869); and
WHEREAS, the City's generosity will make a great impact on the lives of the citizens of
Biscayne Park.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Ratifv the Donation. The City Commission hereby approves the donation of two
(2) 2001 Ford Crown Victoria vehicles to the Village of Biscayne Park.
Section 2. Authorization of City Manager. The City Manager is hereby authorized to do all
things necessary to effectuate this Resolution.
Section 3.
Effective Date. This Resolution shall become effective upon adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 15th day of September 20 II.

RE: Resolution Ratifying the Donation of Two (2) Vehicles to the Village of Biscayne
Park
RECOMMENDATION:
Adopt the Resolution ratifying the donation of two (2) vehicles to the Village of Biscayne Park.
REASONS:
The Village of Biscayne Park has been under fiscal distress and was in dire need of police
vehicles. The City of Sunny Isles Beach had retired two (2) of its Ford Crown Victoria police
vehicles. The City donated the vehicles to Biscayne Park in order to help serve their public
safety needs. Specifically, the vehicles are 2001 Ford Crown Victorias with VIN
#2FAFP7l W5lX1240l6 and VIN #2FAFP7l WXlX12l869.
The Village of Biscayne Park are grateful for the City's generosity to their Police Department
and to their citizens.
