CALL TO ORDER / ROLL CALL OF MEMBERS The meeting was called to order by Mayor Edelcup at 11 :30 a.m., with the following officials present: Mayor Norman S. Edelcup Vice Mayor Lewis J. Thaler Commissioner Roslyn Brezin Commissioner Gerry Goodman Commissioner "Elect" George "Bud" Scholl City Manager A. John Szerlag City Attorney Hans Ottinot City Clerk Jane A. Hines, CMC 2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE Action: Sydney Davis led the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag. Mayor Edelcup gave opening remarks noting that both Vice Mayor Thaler and Commissioner "Elect" Scholl were elected without opposition. 3. INSTALLATION OF NEW OFFICERS 3A. City Clerk to Administer Oath of Office to Newly Elected City Commissioners Lewis J. Thaler and George "Bud" Scholl. Action: City Clerk Hines administered the Oath of Office to newly elected City Commissioners: Commissioner Thaler, Seat 1; and Commissioner Scholl, Seat 3. Vice Mayor Thaler thanked everyone and noted the accomplishments that the City has achieved over the past four years and all that we hope to achieve in the future. Commissioner Scholl thanked everyone and noted that the City has an open forum for the Committee structure with first-hand access to the elected officials and City Staff. He commended staff, and noted the sense of community we have here in Sunny Isles Beach. Mayor Edelcup thanked former City Commissioner Danny Iglesias, who was in the audience, for his ten years of service to the City. Mayor Edelcup reminded everyone that there is a workshop coming up shortly at 12: 15 p.m.
