A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF TI-IE CITY
OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, APPROVING THE
PURCHASE OF DIESEL FUEL FROM MACMILLAN OIL
COMPANY OF FLORIDA, INC., FOR THE 2,000-GALLON
ABOVE GROUND TANK LOCATED ON THE SOUTHWEST
PORTION OF GOVERNMENT CENTER, IN AN AMOUNT
NOT TO EXCEED SIXTY-FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS
($65,000.00) ANNUALLY; AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO DO ALL THINGS NECESSARY TO
EFFECTUATE THIS RESOLUTION; PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, on March 15, 2007 via Resolution No. 2007-1062, the City Commission
approved the purchase and installation of a diesel fuel pump to keep the City's emergency fuel
supply fresh and to be used for the City's buses and street sweeper; and
WHEREAS, on January 20, 2011 via Resolution No. 2011-1662, the City Commission
approved an Agreement with Macmillan Oil Company of Florida, Inc. for the purchase of diesel
fuel for the 2,000 gallon above ground tank located on the southwest portion of Government
Center, in an amount not to exceed Sixty-Five Thousand Dollars ($65,000.00) annually; and.
WHEREAS, the City now wishes to continue the agreement for a second year with
Macmillan Oil Company of Florida, Inc. for the purchase of diesel fuel, piggybacking from
Miami-Dade County RFP No. 683, for the 2,000 gallon above ground tank located on the
southwest pOltion of Government Center, in an amount not to exceed Sixty-Five Thousand
Dollars ($65,000.00) annually.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section I. Approval of Purchase. The City Commission hereby approves the purchase of
diesel fuel from Macmillan Oil Company of Florida, Inc. for the 2,000 gallon above ground tank
located on the southwest pOltion of Government Center, in an amount not to exceed Sixty-Five
Thousand Dollars ($65,000.00) annually.
Section 2. Authorization of City Manager. The City Manager is hereby authorized to do all
things necessary to effectuate this Resolution.
Section 3.
Effective Date. This Resolution will become effective upon adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 19th day of April 2012.

Approval for Purchase of Diesel Fuel from Macmillan Oil Company of
Florida, Inc.
RECOMMENDATION:
Approve the attached Resolution to purchase diesel fuel from Macmillian Oil Company
of Florida, Inc.
REASONS:
On January 20, 2011 via Resolution No. 2011-1662, the City Commisison approved an
Agreement with Macmillan Oil Company of Florida, Inc. for the purchase of diesel fuel
for the 2,000 gallon above ground tank located on the southwest portion of Government
Center. The City now wishes to continue the agreement for a second year for the
purchase of diesel fuel, piggybacking from Miami-Dade County RFP No. 683, for the
2,000 gallon tank in an amount not to exceed Sixty-Five Thousand Dollars ($65,000.00)
annually. The diesel fuel will be utilized by the City buses and street sweeper.
FUNDING SOURCE:
Funding is available in account numbers #11-574-5523 (Transportation) and 40-538-
5523 (Stormwater)
