A RESOLUTION OF THE HISTORIC PRESERVATION
BOARD OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA,
RECOMMENDING TO THE CITY COMMISSION THE
APPOINTMENT OF SETH H. BRAMSON AS AN HONORARY
MEMBER OF THE SUNNY ISLES BEACH HISTORIC
BOARD; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the purpose of the City's Historic Preservation Board is to designate,
preserve, protect and maintain historic buildings, areas, sites, artifacts, memorabilia, and promote
public awareness as a source of history and heritage in the City of Sunny Isles Beach, Florida;
and
WHEREAS, the City's Historic Preservation Board previously expressed its support for
the City to produce a historical film of the 88 -year history of the City of Sunny Isles Beach,
Florida, via Historic Preservation Board Resolution No. 2008 -08; and
WHEREAS, the City's Historic Preservation Board previously expressed its support for
the City to enter into separate agreements with Seth H. Bramson and Fred Singer to provide
introduction and voice over photographs, and production services, respectively, in connection
with the City's historical film production entitled "From Sandbar to Sophistication ", via
Historical Preservation Board Resolution No. 2008 -10; and
WHEREAS, Seth H. Bramson has vast knowledge of the history of the South Florida
area, and the City would greatly benefit in sharing his knowledge and enthusiasm as he has gone
over and beyond in producing the historical film "From Sandbar to Sophistication" as well as the
book publication of "From Sandbar to Sophistication, The Story of Sunny Isles Beach ",
providing mediums to inform residents and the general public about the City's rich history and
culture; and
WHEREAS, the Historic Preservation Board therefore recommends to the City of Sunny
Isles Beach Commission the appointment of Seth H. Bramson as an Honorary Member of the
Board in recognition of all of his accomplishments in the field of historic preservation.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HISTORIC PRESERVATION
BOARD OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Incorporation of Recitals. The foregoing recital paragraphs are hereby ratified
and confirmed as being true and the same are hereby made part of this Resolution.
Section 2. Recommendation of Appointment. The Historic Preservation Board hereby
recommends to the City Commission the appointment of Seth H. Bramson as an Honorary
Member of the Historic Preservation Board.

Section 3. Effective Date. This Resolution will become effective upon adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 14"' day of January 2009.
