A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, APPROVING AN FIRST
AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT WITH LOGISTICS
MANAGEMENT GROUP TO PROVIDE LOGISTICAL AND EVENT
MANAGEMENT SERVICES FOR THE FIFTH ANNUAL JAZZ FEST
2012 ON OCTOBER 11 - 14, 2012, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO
EXCEED SIXTY -FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS ($65,000.00),
ATTACHED HERETO AS EXHIBIT "A "; AUTHORIZING THE
MAYOR TO EXECUTE SAID AGREEMENT; AUTHORIZING THE
CITY MANAGER TO DO ALL THINGS NECESSARY TO
EFFECTUATE THIS RESOLUTION; PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City is holding its Fifth Annual Jazz Fest 2012 ( "Festival ") with a
weekend of events starting on Thursday, October I 1 through Sunday, October 14, 2012 with the
main concert event at Heritage Park on Saturday, October 13, 2012; and
WHEREAS, the City is in need of a consultant to provide logistical and event
management services for the Festival; and
WHEREAS, these services include but are not limited to, negotiating and booking all
national and local entertainers, stage, sound, lighting, security, tents, and all items related to the
set up of the park and physical production of the event; and
WHEREAS, Logistics Management Group has agreed to perform the desired logistical
and event management services for the Festival; and
WHEREAS, the City wishes to approve the First Amendment to Agreement with
Logistics Management Group, to provide these services for the Festival, in an amount not to
exceed Sixty -Five Thousand Dollars ($65,000.00), attached hereto as Exhibit "A ".
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Approval of First Amendment to Agreement. The First Amendment to
Agreement with Logistics Management Group to provide logistical and event management
services for the City's Fifth Annual Jazz Fest 2012, in an amount not to exceed Sixty -Five
Thousand Dollars ($65,000.00), attached hereto as Exhibit "A ", is hereby approved.
Section 2. Authorization of the Mayor. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute said
Agreement.

Section 3. Authorization of the City Manager. The City Manager is hereby authorized to do
all things necessary to effectuate this Resolution.
Section 4. Effective Date. This Resolution will become effective upon adoption.

FIRST AMENDMENT TO THE AGREEMENT BETWEEN
THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH AND
LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT GROUP, INC.
CONTRACT NO. C1112 -045
This First Amendment to the Agreement between the City of Sunny Isles Beach ( "City ")
and Logistics Management Group, Inc., ( "Consultant ") executed this _ day of
2012, is made a part of the original Agreement, C1011 -069 ( "Agreement "), approved by
Resolution No. 2011 -1760 on September 15, 2011 and incorporated herein by reference, between
the City and Consultant, a business corporation licensed in the State of Florida, whose Federal
Identification # is . The City and Consultant hereby agree as follows:
1. TERM: The City hereby exercises its option to renew the Agreement for one (1) year
pursuant to Section 11 of the original Agreement. The renewal term shall commence upon
execution of this First Amendment and shall end at the conclusion of the City's Fifth Annual
Jazz Festival on October 14, 2012.
2. COST: The City shall pay Consultant an amount not to exceed Sixty Five
Thousand Dollars ($65,000.00).
3. OTHER PROVISIONS REMAIN IN EFFECT: Except as specifically modified
herein, all terms and conditions of the original Agreement between the parties, dated September
15, 2011, shall remain in full force and effect.

mentioned above.

Agreement with Logistics Management Group
RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the City Commission approve the attached resolution to amend
the agreement with Logistics Management Group for Jazz Fest 2012 in an amount not to
exceed Sixty Five Thousand Dollars ($65,000.00).
REASONS:
The City of Sunny Isles Beach entered into an agreement with Logistics Management
Group to produce Jazz Fest 2011 with renewals. At this time, the City wishes to exercise
the first year renewal of the agreement for the production services of Jazz Fest 2012 with
the attached first amendment.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
This agreement includes the payment for the national entertainment. Jazz Fest is a three
day event with the concert at Heritage Park on Saturday, October 13, 2102 as the main
event featuring David Benoit. City Staff will recruit sponsors and apply for grants to help
defray the cost of the event as well as ticket sales for the Saturday night concert.
FUNDING SOURCE:
The expenditures will be incurred in fiscal year 2012/2013. Funding will become
available upon Commission approval of the FY 2012/2013 budget in September 2012.
