A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, RESCINDING
RESOLUTION NO. 09 -Z -117 ADOPTED ON MARCH 19,2009;
APPROVING BEACH CLUB USE FOR LE MERIDIAN BEACH
RESORT AWA MARENAS RESORT ( "APPLICANT ")
LOCATED AT 18683 COLLINS AVENUE; PROVIDING THE
CITY MANAGER AND THE CITY ATTORNEY WITH THE
AUTHORITY TO DO ALL THINGS NECESSARY TO
EFFECTUATE THIS RESOLUTION; PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Commission approved the conditional use application submitted
by the Applicant to permit the operation of a private beach club; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission approved the conditional use application submitted
by the Applicant subject to conditions provided in Section IV of Resolution No. 09 -Z -117; and
WHEREAS, the Applicant requests termination of the Beach Club Use approved under
the aforementioned resolution.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Termination of Beach Club Use. The City Commission hereby rescinds
Resolution No. 09 -Z -117, adopted March 19, 2009, approving the operation of a private beach
club at the Le Meridian Beach a/k/a Marenas Resort located at 18683 Collins Avenue.
Section 2, Authority of City Manager and City Attorney. The City Manager and the City
Attorney are authorized to do all things necessary to effectuate this Resolution.
Section 3. Effective Date. This Resolution shall become effective upon adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 2151 day of June, 2012.
