June 15, 2012 City of Sunny Isles Beach 18070 Collins Avenue Sunny Isles Beach, FL. 33160 Re: Bid No: 12 -05 -01 Ladies and Gentlemen: Thank you for allowing Superior Landscaping & Lawn Service, Inc. the opportunity to present our services to you. Our company's sole aim is to provide the finest quality of services to our clients. The company was founded in 1982 by Orlando Otero. He applied a 'service -first attitude' as an initial foundation to his work and to this day it is applied throughout to all customers. This has enabled Superior Landscaping & Lawn Service, Inc, to become one of South Florida's largest, independently -owned landscaping and lawn service companies. Our company offers a 'full menu' of services within the industry - Architectural Landscape Design, Lawn Maintenance, Property Management, Landscape Irrigation, Arbor, Fertilization, Hardscape, Hurricane /Storm preparation, Recovery services; Water Features & Integrated Pest Management. Our vast experience in providing services to municipalities with similar size and scope of services include, but are not limited to, the City of Boynton Beach, City of Bonita Springs, City of Miami Beach Parks and Recreation, and the Miami International Airport. Superior Landscaping is a professional organization employing over 150 team members that include management, administrative staff, and fully- trained, courteous uniformed technicians. The company's main office is located in Miami, with branch offices located throughout Florida. All office locations are fully automated and staffed with professionally trained customer service - oriented personnel. We are committed to working closely with you and your personnel to insure that all your goals are achieved. With confidence in the ability to serve you, we look forward to the opportunity to earn your business. Thank you for your consideration and time. Sincerely, Orlando Otero President Methodology June 15, 2012 City of Sunny Isles Ladies and Gentlemen: After careful analysis of the landscape maintenance needs of City of Sunny Isles, the following is a horticultural plan that we believe is the best and most cost effective for the property and its owners. This plan is created with sufficient manpower, hours and variety of services to enable us to maintain an eye for detail without "rushing through" the services. Our crews will be deployed from our Miami facilities. Landscaping services will be performed by a crew of minimum of twelve personnel for weekly services. These personnel will perform but not limited to mowing, edging, "weed eating ", air blowing, weed control, deweeding, raking any plant material debris, removing fallen palm fronds ,tree limbs, shrub pruning, daily debris removal from Beach access areas, parks, right of ways, government facilities and parking lots. This gives Superior Landscaping enough hours with sufficient personnel to handle any issues that are important to Sunny Isles, and to us, as your landscape providers. Your services will also be supported by a horticultural specialist an onsite irrigation technicians with helper( who will check irrigation system on a weekly, monthly, quarterly and annually basis as to the RFP requirements), an arbor care personnel, all of which will provide expertise in their different fields. The City of Sunny Isles will also be assigned their own account manager. This representative will be your point of contact and will be your single `go -to' person responsible for a smooth transition; service scheduling, and meeting with City of Sunny Isles representatives for walkthroughs, question & answer, new enhancement and beautification ideas, etc. We believe that having sufficient time, personnel, and supervision, and following correct horticultural practices will keep the focus on you, the customer. The reason why some companies fail in delivering is not having enough hours or services built into the job to be able to tackle every aspect of the maintenance with every visit resulting in cutting corners to make a profit. In other words, taking the focus away from you and concentrating on their bottom line. Thank you for allowing Superior Landscaping & Lawn Service, Inc. an opportunity to provide excellent services to your property and grow a relationship for years to come. Approach / Methodology A. Approach to this solicitation: Please see the attached methodology letter. Methodology June 15, 2012 City of Sunny Isles Ladies and Gentlemen: After careful analysis of the landscape maintenance needs of City of Sunny Isles, the following is a horticultural plan that we believe is the best and most cost effective for the property and its owners.
