A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO NEGOTIATE AN AGREEMENT FOR AWARD OF
REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS(RFP)NO. 12-05-01 FOR LANDSCAPE
MAINTENANCE SERVICES, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED
SIX HUNDRED FIFTY THOUSAND DOLLARS ($650,000.00) FOR
ONE YEAR; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER AND CITY
ATTORNEY TO DO ALL THINGS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE
THIS RESOLUTION; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS,the City is in need of a contractor to furnish all materials,equipment and labor
for landscape maintenance services in the City of Sunny Isles Beach; and
WHEREAS, the City issued and advertised Request for Proposals No. 12-05-01, for
Landscape Maintenance Services, for which six (6) responses were received; and
WHEREAS,the City Commission authorizes staff to proceed in negotiating with the lowest
most responsive responsible bidder whose proposal best serves the interests of and represents the best
value to the City,based on the overall total summation of the unit price schedule submitted by each
vendor on a"per task" basis to provide services on a unit price basis for Landscape Maintenance
Services, in an amount not to exceed Six Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($650,000.00) for a one
year period.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Authorization of City Manager. The City Commission hereby authorizes the City
Manager to proceed with negotiations with a vendor for Landscape Maintenance Services in an
amount not to exceed Six Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars($650,000.00)for a one year period,and
to bring it back to the City Commission for approval.
Section 2. Authorization of City Manager and City Attorney. The City Manager and City
Attorney are hereby authorized to do all things necessary to effectuate this Resolution.
Section 3. Effective Date. This Resolution will become effective upon adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 19th day of July 2012.
