A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, RATIFYING THE PURCHASE
OF A 2013 DODGE DURANGO AWD CITADEL V -8 FROM
MAROONE DODGE OF PEMBROKE PINES FOR USE BY THE
CITY MANAGER, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED THIRTY -
SEVEN THOUSAND THREE HUNDRED FIFTY -FIVE DOLLARS
($37,355.00), ATTACHED HERETO AS EXHIBIT "A ";
UTILIZING THE FLORIDA SHERIFF'S ASSOCIATION
CONTRACT NUMBER 10 -18 -0907; AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO DO ALL THINGS NECESSARY TO
EFFECTUATE THIS RESOLUTION; PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, pursuant to the employment contract with newly appointed City Manager
Christopher J. Russo, a vehicle is required for him to perform day to day operations of the City;
and
WHEREAS, the City now wishes to purchase a 2013 Dodge Durango AWD Citadel V -8
from Maroone Dodge of Pembroke Pines, under the Florida Sheriff's Association Contract
Number 10 -18 -0907, in an amount not to exceed Thirty -Seven Thousand Three Hundred Fifty-
Five Dollars ($37,355.00); and
WHEREAS, staff determined that the above charges were reasonable and customary for
said purchase and recommends that the Commission approve the purchase, attached hereto as
Exhibit "A ".
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Ratifying the Purchase of Vehicles. The City Commission hereby ratifies the
purchase of the 2013 Dodge Durango AWD Citadel V -8 from Maroone Dodge of Pembroke
Pines for the newly appointed City Manager, in an amount not to exceed Thirty -Seven Thousand
Three Hundred Fifty -Five Dollars ($37,355.00), attached hereto as Exhibit "A ".
Section 2. Authorization of Cijy Manager. The City Manager is hereby authorized to do all
things necessary to effectuate this Resolution.
Section 3. Effective Date. This Resolution shall become effective upon adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 20`x' day of September 2012.

Ratify the Purchase of the City Manager Take Home Vehicle
Pursuant to the City Manager's Employment Contract.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends the City Commission ratify the purchase of a Dodge Durango 2013
AWD Citadel V -8 from Maroone Dodge of Pembroke Pines for the City Manager's take
home vehicle pursuant to the City Manager contract approved by Commission on July
19, 2012. The vehicle is not to exceed $37,355.00
REASONS:
Staff has purchased a Dodge Durango 2013 AWD Citadel V -8 from Maroone Dodge of
Pembroke Pines for the City Manager pursuant to his executed employment contract.
This vehicle was purchased through the Florida Sheriffs Association Contract Number 10
-18 -0907
