To All Bidders:
Bidders for the above referenced project shall take note of the following changes, additions,
deletions, clarifications, etc. to the Plans and Specifications, which in accordance with the
Contract Documents shall become a part of and have precedence over anything shown or
described otherwise.
Questions/Clarifications:
1. Is the lateral load of 4.8 k and vertical load of 0.8 kip per foot of footing a breakdown of
the factored moment of 42.24 k-ft? Or does the 42.24 k-ft overturn need to be broken
down into a vertical and lateral load in addition to the 11 KIP service capacity and 4.8 k
lateral load?
Response: The moment of 42.24 k-ft at the top of pile is due to a lateral load of 4.8 kips
gross for overturning. Contractor needs to take into consideration the weight of the wall
and footing to obtain the net overturning moment
2. On Sheet S3, at matchline “A”, drawing indicates total wall length as 923.88’. Based on
the station marker where the wall starts at 184+33.83 and ends at the bulk head at
172+31.66, this is roughly about 1,202LF. Please advise if that note “923.88 Total” note
is incorrect.
Response: The length of the wall is 1204.5 LF
