HomeMy WebLinkAboutAdd No 1Friday, July 31, 2015 Addendum No. 1 CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH City Wide Custodial Services CITY ITB NO. 15-07-01 To All Bidders: Bidders for the above -referenced project shall take note of the following changes, additions, deletions, clarifications, etc. to the Pla ns and Specifications, which in accordance with the Contract Documents shall become a part of and have precedence over anything shown or described otherwise.  Please be advised that all floors must be stripped and waxed as follows:  Government Center: semi -annually (2 times a year) with 2 coats each time.  Pelican Community Center: quarterly (4 times a year) with 2 coats each time.  Questions/Clarifications: 1. Please clarify how many coats of wax. 2 coats of wax. Floors must also be stripped. Please see c larification above for frequency. 2. Please clarify if the wax on the floors need to be stripped before waxing. Yes, floor must be stripped. Please see clarification above for frequency. 3. Please clarify if all floors will need to be waxed at the beginning of this new agreement for Invitation to Bid Number 15 -07-01 Yes. 4. Please clarify if the City can provide storage for supplies at the Public Works trailer. Yes. Friday, July 31, 2015 5. Please clarify the number of restrooms on each floor of each building and the number of stalls and/or urinals in each. Government Center (City Hall)  1st floor: 1 restroom with 3 stalls and 3 urinals. 1 women’s restroom with 9 stalls. There is also a staff restroom in the Public Works/Lifeguards Office with a shower.  2nd floor: 1 men’s restroom with 2 stalls and 1 urinal. 1 women’s restroom with 3 stalls. There are also staff restrooms as follows:  1 restroom in the men’s locker room  1 restroom in the women’s locker room  1 restroom next to the Police Roll Room  1 restroom in the Police holding cell  3rd floor: 1 men’s restroom with 2 stalls and 1 urinal. 1 women’s restroom with 3 stalls.  4th floor: 1 men’s restroom with 2 stalls and 1 urinal. 1 women’s restroom with 3 stalls. There is also a staff restroom with a shower. Pelican Community Center  1st floor: 1 men’s restroom with 3 stalls and 1 urinal. 1 women’s restroom with 6 stalls. There is also a staff restroom.  2nd floor: 1 men’s restroom with 2 stalls and 1 urinal. 1 women’s restroom with 4 stalls. Public Works Compound  1 men’s restroom. 1 women’s restroom. 6. What is the square footage of the multipurpose room on the first floor at the Pelican Community Park? 2,800 sq. ft. 7. Is the 5% bid bond of the total prosed price mandatory? Yes. Friday, July 31, 2015 8. Please provide detailed descriptions of what a Performance Bond and a Bid Bond are. The Bid Bond is a 5% check of the total proposed price. This bond is returned if you are not awarded the bid. The Performance Bond is 100% of the total price proposed for this ITB and is only required by the contractor who the project is awarded to. 9. How many floors at Pelican Community Park? 2 floors. 10. Do the cleaning products need to be environmentally safe? Yes, please review Section 5.0. 11. Will the Custodial Service vendor be responsible for cleaning outsi de areas? Government Center: Yes but only the stairwells. Pelican Community Park: Yes, all outside hallways that do not have pavers, all stairwells and all windows/glass that are accessible. Public Works Compound: No. 12. Will the Custodial Service vendor be responsible for stairwells at the Government Center? Yes, please see 4.7 Stairways. 13. Will the Custodial Service vendor be responsible for stacking chairs at the Pelican Community Park? No. 14. Will the Custodial Service vendor be responsible for supplyi ng all cleaning materials, equipment, etc.? Yes. 15. Will the Custodial Service vendor be responsible for the tall windows inside in the gymnasium at Pelican Community Park? Yes. Friday, July 31, 2015 16. What is the start time for the Custodial Service vendor? Please refer to 3.6 and 3.12. 17. Will a supervisor from the Custodial Service vendor be allowed to inspect the City buildings during operational hours to ensure their cleaning crew is performing correctly? Yes. 18. When was the last time the library floor was waxed? More than a year ago. 19. Will the Custodial Service vendor be responsible for cleaning the cubicle walls on the 2nd floor – Police Department? Yes. Please refer to 4.1 (E) 4.10 (E). 20. Will the Custodial Service vendor be responsible for cleaning all chairs at the Go vernment Center lobby? Yes, as well as the lobby at Pelican Community Park . END OF SECTION
