CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH
GATEWAY PARK PEDESTRIAN ACCESS IMPROVEMENTS
CITY RFQ NO. 13-08-01: STEP 2
To All Bidders:
Bidders for the above referenced project shall take note of the following changes, additions,
deletions, clarifications, etc. to the Plans and Specifications, which in accordance with the Contract
Documents shall become a part of and have precedence over anything shown or described
otherwise.
Questions/Clarifications:
1. The above referenced RFQ indicates that Construction completion can be no later than 7/1/15
and that the project had liquidated damages. We were unable to find the dollar value of
liquidated damages per day. Please advise.
Response: Liquidated damages shall be assessed at a rate of $500.00 (Five hundred dollars) for
each day beyond the time specified for completion.
2. Can you please provide construction documents for the adjacent project? We’ll be glad to pick
up a CD.
Response: This question was previously addressed in Addendum 01 which was issued to bidders
on 05/19/2014. See below previously issued response:
3. Please provide the site plans and elevations from the adjacent Gateway project plan
that indicate where the planned and already built elements and structures will be
located, showing the dimensions and locations of the reserved area that Gateway
project has reserved for the base and tower of the pedestrian bridge on the south side of
the road.
Response: Proposers may contact the Building Department for plans and otherwise
familiarize themselves with the status of construction.
Per standard City procedure, bidders are advised to submit a public records request through the
Clerk’s office, at which point they can come to the Building Department to view the plans.
