Bidders for the above-referenced project shall take note of the following changes,
additions, deletions, clarifications, etc. to the Plans and Specifications, which in
accordance with the Contract Documents shall become a part of and have precedence
over anything shown or described otherwise.

Mandatory Pre-Bid Conference Summary Minutes
Thursday, July 17, 2014 at 2:30 p.m.
Bid No. 14-06-03, Town Center Park Shade Structure Modification
City Engineer Helen Gray opened the Pre-Bid Conference noting that this is for a shade structure
modification at Town Center Park. Make sure that you all sign the sign-in sheet as this is a
mandatory pre-bid conference. Staff in attendance today are: Andrew Rozwadowski, Purchasing
Agent; Elka Linton-Dorsett, Project Manager; Jane Hines, City Clerk; Mauricio Betancur, Assistant
City Clerk; and Luz Rey, Admin. Coordinator City Clerk’s Office.
City Engineer Gray explained that this bid is for the design, fabrication and installation of a
mechanism to raise an existing steel frame and shade structure canopy at least two (2) feet higher
than what is currently existing. The shade structure is located above the playground area within the
Town Center Park located at 17200 Collins Avenue. She strongly urged the attendees to visit the
site. While the work is going on, the playground will be closed.
The deadline for submission of bid documents is Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at 2:30 p.m. at which
time those sealed bids will be publicly opened. Any additional questions are required to be in
writing and must be submitted to the City Clerk jhines@sibfl.net by Wednesday, July 23, 2014
which will be answered and posted on Demand Star.
QUESTIONS AND COMMENTS FROM PROSPECTIVE BIDDERS
1. Is there a construction time frame?
Yes, and we will issue two letters to proceed. You will need to let us know how much
down time is needed.
2. What are the conditions for damages?
Put the question in an email and it will be answered in an Addendum.
3. What is the total budget amount?
We do not have a budget.
4. What is the location?
Town Center Park is located on the NW corner of 172nd Street and Collins Avenue.
5. Is there a heavy equipment entrance to the Park?
Yes, we have a heavy crane available for the heavy equipment.

6. Can we get a copy of today’s attendance sheet?
Yes, we will put that out in an addendum today and post it to Demand Star.
7. Does the bid date remain the same?
Yes, on Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at 2:30 p.m.
The Pre-Bid Conference was concluded at 2:40 p.m.
