The meeting was called to order by Mayor Scholl at 6:30 p.m. with the following officials

Action: Police Chief Maas led the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag and gave the invocation.
3. APPROVAL OF MINUTES
3A. Regular City Commission Meeting—May 18, 2017.
Action: Commissioner Gatto moved and Vice Mayor Goldman seconded a motion to
approve the above mentioned Summary Minutes. The motion was approved by a voice
vote of 4-0-1 [Commissioner Aelion absent] in favor.
4. ORDER OF BUSINESS (Additions/Deletions/Amendments)
4A. Request to hear 5B—Sister City Signing Ceremony at the end of the meeting;Add-on: 10G
—Resolution approving appointment of Victoria Cipriani to the City Advisory Committee.
5. SPECIAL PRESENTATIONS
5A. Police Department Promotions and Transfers.
Police Chief Maas stated that Officer Willian Howell has been promoted to Police Corporal.
5B. Sister City Signing Ceremony with Punta del Ese, Uruguay.
A Cooperation and Friendship agreement was signed by Mayor George H. Scholl and Mario
Jafif, Mayor of the City of Punta del Este, Uruguay.
6. ZONING: Zoning Hearings are Quasi-Judicial Public Hearings.

7. ORDINANCES FOR FIRST READING
7A. An Ordinance of the City Commission of the City of Sunny Isles Beach,Florida,Amending
Section 234-4 of the City Code to Extend the Time to Place Temporary Storage Units
on a Property Owner's Driveway or Parking Area to a Maximum Amount of Time Not
to Exceed Twelve (12) Months for Health, Safety or Welfare Reasons Deemed
Necessary by the City Manager or His Designee; Providing for a Repealer;Providing for
Severability; Providing for Inclusion in the City Code; Providing for an Effective Date.
Action:Acting City Clerk Betancur read the title, and City Attorney Hans Ottinot reported.

Setting; Providing for Repealer; Providing for Severability; Providing for Inclusion in the
Code; Providing for an Effective Date.

Authorizing the City Manager to Do All Things Necessary to Implement the Terms and
Conditions of this Ordinance; Providing for an Effective Date.

a First Amendment to the Agreement with Calvin, Giordano & Associates, Inc., for
Professional Planning And Zoning Consulting Services, in an Amount Not to Exceed
$150,000.00, Attached Hereto as Exhibit "A"; Authorizing the City Manager to Do All
Things Necessary to Effectuate this Resolution; Providing for an Effective Date.

Contractors, LLC for New HVAC Chiller Systems for the Pelican Community Park,
Attached Hereto, in Substantially the Same Form, as Exhibit "A"; Authorizing the City
Manager to Do All Things Necessary to Effectuate this Resolution; Providing for an
Effective Date.

County, Providing for Performance of Professional Services by Miami-Dade County, and
Also Between All Co-Permittees Providing for Identification and Control of Pollutant
Discharges in Shared Municipal Separate Storm Sewer Systems, and to Negotiate and
Execute Changes to the Selection of Activity Participation by Co-Permittees,In an Amount

Payment to Florida Power and Light ("FPL") for the Collins Avenue Utility
Undergrounding Project for the Atlantic Boulevard Corridor from 175th Terrace to
183rd Street, in an amount not to exceed $1,462,728.00, attached hereto as Exhibit "A";
Authorizing the City Manager to Do All Things Necessary to Effectuate this Resolution;
Providing for an Effective Date.
