A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AMENDING
RESOLUTION NOS. 15-Z-150 AND 2016-2626 TO EXTEND THE
TIME PERIOD TO OBTAIN A BUILDING PERMIT BY TDR
TOWERS MASTER ASSOCIATION, INC. (THE "APPLICANT")
FOR THE PROJECT ENTITLED "TRUMP TOWERS I, II & III
PARKING EXTENSION" LOCATED AT 15811, 15901, AND 16001
COLLINS AVENUE, IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION 265-11
(L) OF THE CITY CODE; AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER AND THE CITY ATTORNEY TO DO ALL THINGS
NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THIS RESOLUTION;
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, on November 17th, 2016 via Resolution No. 2016-2626 the City
Commission approved a time extension request from the Applicant and extended the time period
to obtain a building permit to February 19th, 2017; and
WHEREAS, the Applicant has submitted a second extension request to extend the time
to obtain a building permit in accordance with Resolution No. 15-Z-150, adopted on February
19th, 2015; and
WHEREAS, the Applicant has provided good cause for a second extension request; and;
WHEREAS, the City Commission wishes to approve the request for a second extension
and extends the time to pull a building permit under Resolution No. 15-Z-150 to February 19th,
2019.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Approval of Second Extension Request. Pursuant to Section 265-11(L) of the
City Code, the City Commission hereby approves the second request for extension submitted by
the Applicant, TDR Towers Master Association, Inc. and extends the time to pull a building
permit under Resolution No. 15-Z-150 to February 19th, 2019.
Section 2. Authority of the City Manager and City Attorney. The City Commission provides
the City Manager and City Attorney with the authority to do all things necessary to effectuate this
Resolution.
Section 3. Effective Date. This Resolution shall become effective upon adoption.
