A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH,
FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
EXPEND UP TO FORTY-FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS
($45,000.00) WITH BONNIE BENNETT TO PROVIDE
MARKETING DESIGN SERVICES FOR THE CULTURAL
AND COMMUNITY SERVICES DEPARTMENT; FURTHER
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO DO ALL
THINGS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THIS
RESOLUTION; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City of Sunny Isles Beach hired Bonnie Bennett to brand the City as
"Florida's Riviera"; and
WHEREAS, Bonnie Bennett has continued to carry the corporate identity and branding
developed as "Florida's Riviera" throughout all official City publications, promotional items and
marketing materials, including the layout and design of the quarterly newsletter, the quarterly
catalogs, the annual City calendar; all advertisements, promotional items, brochures and other
marketing materials; and
WHEREAS, Bonnie Bennett's designs are consistent with the approved standards and the
desires of the City Commission; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission wishes to authorize the City Manager to approve the
expenditure of budgeted funds in the amount up to Forty-Five Thousand Dollars($45,000.00)with
Bonnie Bennett to provide marketing design services for the Cultural and Community Services
Department.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Authorization of City Manager. The City Manager is hereby authorized to approve
the expenditure of budgeted funds in the amount up to Forty-Five Thousand Dollars ($45,000.00)
with Bonnie Bennett to provide Marketing Design Services for the Cultural and Community Services
Department.
Section 2. Further Authorization of City Manager. The City Manager is hereby authorized to do
all things necessary to effectuate this Resolution.
Section 3. Effective Date. The Resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.

MEMORANDUM

RE: Authorization to Expend Funds to Bonnie Bennett Creative to Provide
Marketing Design Services
RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the City Commission approve the attached resolution to provide
authorization to expend funds to Bonnie Bennett Creative in an amount not to exceed
Forty Five Thousand Dollars (545,000.00) for Marketing Design Services for the City.
REASONS:
Bonnie Bennett, through consultation with the City Commission and Staff has continued
to carry the corporate identity and branding developed as 'florida's riviera' throughout all
official city publications, promotional items and marketing materials. Her services
include the layout and design of the quarterly newsletter, the quarterly catalogs, the
annual city calendar, all advertisements, promotional items, brochures and other
marketing materials.
Bonnie's designs are consistent with the approved standards and the desires of the
Commission.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
This year the City is updating the quarterly catalog to include the information that is
published in the annual city guide to combine those publications at a cost savings that
will provide a more useful publication. This project will carry the City's identity and
branding to all of the hotels and visitor's as well as to our residents.
Also included in this year's project list is the new design for the Community Shuttle

Buses as well as additional ad placements.
FUNDING SOURCE:
Funds are available for this item in General Fund Account Number 10.572.5313,
10.572.5314B and 10.572.5480.
