RESOLUTION NO. 2013 - 20 IQ
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, APPROVING
UTILIZING THE SUNNY ISLES BEACH GOVERNMENT
CENTER AS AN EARLY VOTING SITE; PROVIDING FOR
AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS,Florida Statute states that only City Halls and Libraries can be used as an Early
Voting Site; and
WHEREAS,the Miami-Dade County Elections Department is seeking to secure additional
City Halls in the County to conduct early voting based on the type of election being conducted; and
WHEREAS, the Miami-Dade County Elections Department is reaching out to the
municipalities for possible use of their City Halls as an Early Voting Site.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Approval for Use of Government Center. The City Commission hereby approves the
use of the Sunny Isles Beach Government Center as an Early Voting Site.
Section 2. Effective Date. This Resolution shall become effective upon passage.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 17'" day of January 2013.
