-A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AMENDING CONDITION
NO. 6 OF RESOLUTION NO. 12-Z-128 TO INCREASE THE
MAXIMUM ALLOWABLE AMOUNT OF CHILDREN FROM
TWENTY FIVE (25) TO FIFTY (50) FOR THE DAYCARE
LOCATED AT 17395 NORTH BAY ROAD, SUNNY ISLES
BEACH, FLORIDA; PROVIDING THE CITY MANAGER AND
THE CITY ATTORNEY WITH THE AUTHORITY TO DO ALL
THINGS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THIS RESOLUTION;
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, by Zoning Resolution No.12-Z-128, adopted March 15, 2012, the City
Commission approved the zoning application submitted by Sunny Isles Daycare Corp. d/b/a
Sunny Isles Kids' Club, ("Applicant") to operate a daycare at 17395 North Bay Road; and
WHEREAS, the Applicant was granted a zoning approval to operate a daycare with a
maximum of twenty five (25) children; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission wishes to amend Condition No. 6 of Resolution No.
12-Z-128 to increase the maximum allowable children from twenty five (25) to fifty (50)
children.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Amending Condition No. 6 of Resolution No. 12-Z-128. The City Commission
hereby amends Condition No. 6 of Resolution No. 12-Z-128 to increase the maximum allowable
children from twenty five (25)to fifty (50) children for the daycare.
Section 2. Authority of the City Manager and City Attorney. The City Manager and City
Attorney are hereby authorized to do all things necessary to effectuate this Resolution.
Section 3. Effective Date. This Resolution shall become effective upon adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this Z4day of June, 2018.

This Resolution is presented for your consideration.
REASONS: .
Sunny Isles Daycare Club (theejDacare") has been 'operating`°since
2012. at the shopping center, located at 17395 North Bay Road,with a
maximum capacity•of 25,children at any given,time The Daycare-has
demonstrated that there are no negative impacts to the area and
parking.has.been managed accordingly. Atthis point, the Daycare is
requesting to modify the existing allowable maximum capacity of 25
children for an increase of additional 25 children for a total of 50
children at any .given time. The Club is not requesting any other
modifications at this time.
