The Purpose of this Contract is to replace the foundation slabs for which the existing Bus Shelters are anchored to the New Slabs (5'x21'x8") are substantially larger and thicker than existing foundations. Performance of this work to dismantle, clean/paint, and Re-install existing "Tolar" Bus Shelters to New Foundations while minimizing impact to vehicular, and pedestrian traffic. We believe that grouping 3 Shelters together to phase the project into 3 parts will minimize the M.O.T. impact to traffic as we can perform specific tasks to 3 shelters in one day versus creating more steps in the process by working on one at a time. ® We believe that dismantling existing shelters can be performed without closing traffic for any extended time. Excavation, formwork, and placing of New Concrete will require lane closures and M.O.T. Co- ordination. We also believe that dismantling one of the three shelters at Heritage Park to commence Project will help assess and identify any potential problems we may encounter or spare parts that need ordered. 20200 West Dixie Hwy. They come apart the same way they go together, in reverse order. The shelters were designed and structural calculations were provided to the City when they were purchased. Those approved plans call for direct attachment to the specified concrete pad with anchors as specified and called out on the drawing you have. Any change to that specification is up to you and your local approval process.
