WHEREAS, the Sunny Isles Beach Police Department rotates a portion of the Police fleet annually to assure the safety and reliability of its equipment to its officers; and WHEREAS, the Police Department now needs to purchase the following seven (7) Police vehicles and one (1) Ocean Rescue vehicle; four (4) V6 Dodge Chareer Police Vehicles from Maroone of Pembroke Pines. three (3) V6 Dodge Durango Police Vehicles from Beck Auto Sales; Inc.. under the Florida Sheriffs Association Contract 912 -20 -0905, one (1) Ford F -150 Pick -Up Truck from Don Reid Ford, Inc. for Ocean Rescue Vehicle under the State of Florida Contract 4071- 000 -13 -1, and all associated emergency equipment and lighting; in an amount not to exceed Two Hundred Eighty -Three Thousand Seven Hundred Seventy -Six Dollars (5283;776.00), attached hereto as Exhibit "A": and WHEREAS, all emergency equipment and lighting will be purchased and installed by Strobes -R -Us. Inc. under a piggy -back of the City of Sunrise, Contract 911(06)- 01- 01 -19 -W; and WHEREAS, staff determined that the above charges were reasonable and customary for said purchase and recommends that the Commission approve the purchase. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Authorizing the Purchase of Vehicles. The City Commission hereby authorizes the purchase of seven (7) Police vehicles, one (1) Ocean Rescue vehicle, and associated emergency equipment and lighting. in an amount not to exceed Two Hundred Eighty -Three Thousand Seven Hundred Seventy -Six Dollars (5283,776.00), Attached hereto as Exhibit "A".
