CALL TO ORDER/ROLL CALL OF MEMBERS. <br /> The meeting was called to order by Mayor Scholl at 2:00 p.m., with the following officials <br /> present: <br /> Mayor George "Bud" Scholl City Manager Christopher J. Russo <br /> Vice Mayor Larisa Svechin City Clerk Jane Mauricio Betancur <br /> Commissioner Dana Goldman Deputy City Manager Stan Morris <br /> Commissioner Alex Lama Interim City Attorney Julia Grachova <br /> Commissioner Jeniffer Viscarra <br /> 2. INTERVIEW OF LAW FIRMS TO PROVIDE PROFESSIONAL LEGAL SERVICES <br /> TO THE CITY. <br /> Action: The City Commission interviewed the four(4) law firms who submitted a proposal in <br /> response to the City's Request for Proposals ("RFP") No. 19-02-01 for Professional Legal <br /> Services. The firms were interview in the following order: (1) Greenspoon Marder LLP; (2) <br /> Nabors Giblin & Nickerson, P.A.; (3) Weiss Serota Helfman Cole & Bierman; and (4) <br /> GrayRobinson Attorneys at Law. <br /> After the interviews, the City Commission proceed to discuss each firm and their respective <br /> qualifications. After the discussion, it was the consensus of the City Commission to award the <br /> RFP to Nabors Giblin & Nickerson, P.A. The City Commission directed the City Clerk to <br /> formalize the Commission's decision into a resolution. <br /> Commissioner Viscarra moved, and Vice Mayor Svechin seconded a motion to award RFP No. <br /> 19-02-01 for Professional Legal Services to.Nabors Giblin &Nickerson, P.A. Resolution No. <br /> 2019-2924 was approved by voice vote, 4-0 in favor [Commissioner Goldman left before the <br /> motion was made and voted upon]. <br /> 3. DISCUSSION REGARDING QUASI-JUDICIAL PROCEDURES RELATED TO <br /> ZONING MATTERS. <br /> Action: The City's legal consultant, Lynn Dannheisser, gave a brief presentation on the <br /> standards of review to be used by the City Commission in reviewing any quasi-judicial <br /> zoning applications. <br />
