CALL TO ORDER/ROLL CALL OF MEMBERS <br />The meeting was called to order by Mayor Edelcup at 7:30 p.m., with the following officials <br />present: <br />Mayor Norman S. Edelcup <br />Vice Mayor Lewis J. Thaler <br />Commissioner Roslyn Brezin <br />Commissioner Gerry Goodman <br />Commissioner Danny Iglesias <br /> <br />Interim City Manager Police Chief Fred Maas <br />City Attorney Hans Ottinot <br />City Clerk Jane A. Hines <br />Assistant City Manager Jorge Vera <br /> <br />Mayor Edelcup gave opening remarks of decorum. <br /> <br />2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE/INVOCATION <br />Action: Joe Masters led the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag, and Richard C. Schulman gave <br />an invocation. <br /> <br />Mayor Edelcup said since the last time we met we had Hurricane Wilma pass through here <br />which did a lot of damage but fortunately there was no loss oflife or any personal injury. He <br />thanked Chief Fred Maas for wearing the dual hats of making sure our Police were where they <br />needed to be and for filling in as our interim City Manager during this period of crisis. He <br />said that ChiefMaas and staff did an outstanding effort on behalf of the residents of this City <br />and that we are grateful to him and staff for bringing the City back to the condition it is in <br />today. <br /> <br />3. APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> <br />3A. Regular City Commission Meeting - October 11,2005. <br />Action: Vice Mayor Thaler moved and Commissioner Iglesias seconded a motion to <br />approve the above-mentioned Summary Minutes. The motion was approved by a voice <br />vote of 5-0 in favor. <br />
