CALL TO ORDER/ROLL CALL OF MEMBERS <br />The meeting was called to order by Mayor Edelcup at 11 :02 a.m., with the following officials <br />present: <br />Mayor Norman S. Edelcup <br />Vice Mayor Lewis 1. Thaler <br />Commissioner Roslyn Brezin <br />Commissioner Gerry Goodman (arrived at 11:15 a.m.) <br />Commissioner Danny Iglesias (arrived at 11: 1 0 a.m.) <br /> <br />Interim City Manager Fred Maas <br />City Attorney Hans Ottinot <br />City Clerk Jane A. Hines <br />Assistant Police Chief Jose Ernand <br />James Watts, Public Works Director <br />Thomas Acquaro, Human Resources Director <br />Susan Simpson, Cultural and Human Services Director <br />Clayton L. Parker, Building Official/Administrator <br />Priscilla Walker, Deputy City Clerk <br />Linda Dosal, Assistant Finance Director <br />Sandra Block, Administrator Coordinator, Detective Bureau <br /> <br />Mayor Edelcup gave opening remarks. The City Commission were notified by hand notice, <br />and notice of the emergency City Commission meeting was posted on the front of <br />Government Center. <br /> <br />2. UPDATE ON STATUS OF CITY FOLLOWING HURRICANE WILMA <br />Action: Interim City Manager Maas reported that there has been a building to building <br />contact on which buildings have power, and 70% have power. He said they are concentrating <br />on those buildings that do not have power. He said basically those south of Atlantic Isle and <br />north of 183rd Street do not have power as that substation that services those areas had <br />infrastructure damage. <br /> <br />Interim City Manager Maas stated that Public Works personnel are working. He said that the <br />truck is here now with water and ice and that Police personnel will deliver it to those residents <br />that cannot pick it up such as the elderly and homebound. He noted that there are three <br />(Texaco, Citgo, and Exxon) gas stations open, and Shell and BP stations are closed. <br />
