QUALIFICATIONS - PROPOSED SCHEDULE AND TIMELINE
SCHEDULING
The baseline CPM, prepared and submitted prior to any work being performed, will be updated monthly and submitted to the City for
e review and approval. The schedule will include a narrative that will explain each update and will be the basis for evaluating the
■ projects progress. RMI also uses a detailed 'two -week look ahead schedule" that will be prepared on a weekly basis and reviewed
at our weekly scheduled meeting. This weekly meeting allows the contractor to adjust operations and immediately inform the owner
and any stakeholders of any operational changes necessary. RMI compares the 'one -week look ahead schedule' to the Baseline
CPM to ensure that the project is on track and to allow the immediate implementation of changes to operations or sequence.
SCHEDULE/ COST CONTROL
The project will be separated into manageable components, and designs for these components will be submitted and tracked
accordingly. Once each component is approved, construction operations will be planned and scheduled. All major operations will be
reviewed with the owners representatives at a pre - activity meeting. This meeting will ensure that all parties are in agreement with
the methods and testing criteria or coordination required for the operation. All construction operations are monitored on a daily basis
for safety, quality, cost, schedule, and compliance.
TIMELINE
The Design/Build team is ready to begin immediately. We can have a conceptual plan ready by the time that this project goes to
Commission Approval if we are notified that we are the highest ranked firm. Upon issuance of the Notice to Proceed and negotiation
of fee, the Design/Build Team can begin design in October 2013. During the RFP process, the Design/Build Team has already
touched base with several key stakeholders such as FDOT and FPL. We have already done some legwork on coordination with
FDOT for the sign structure and with FPL regarding clearance with the bridge with the FPL Transmission lines. We consider that we
can have 100% Design to the City and FOOT for approval by December 2013. We are assuming a two month design phase to
complete the end bents, piles, electrical designs which require coordination with other regulatory agencies. Please note that this can
be reduced by a month if design is allowed to begin prior to Commission Award.
We suspect that we can begin construction in January 2014. The piles, end bents, and electrical can be completed by the time the
prefabricate bridge arrives on site in late March 2014 and early April 2014. This would give us a completion date of May 2014.
11
k
LJ
F
1
I
