This project consists of a $1.22 Billion (Construction) P3 Infrastructure project covering 10.5 Miles of
improvements along 1 -595 including the total reconstruction of the interstate and the implementation of three
reversible tolled express lanes. Our company was responsible for securing Utility Work Schedules and Work
Agreements, working with the UAO(s) to ensure that their design, permitting and relocation work met the
constrains of the design -build schedule. Our company is also the engineer of record for the design of electrical,
communications and fiber optic conduits (electric power, cable, television, telecommunication)
under 1 -595 at Nob Hill Road and Davie Road, consisting of 850
feet of 4 -2' HDPE bundles and 211' bundles. Our engineers
performed these underground installations using horizontal
directional techniques (HDD) that is the preferred method of
construction for the proposed duct bank since it allows the
contractor to bid the relocation job independent of other
construction within the corridor. In addition, we developed
construction plans to relocate Comcast existing aerial crossing
over 1 -595, SR 84 and North New River Canal in conflict with
proposed improvements for the roadway. It consists of fiber
optic cables owned by Comcast and is located just west of the
Sewell Lock west of Davie Road, the segment directly over 1-
595 and SR 84, by installing approximately 370 LF of two (2) 4-
inch proposed High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) conduits
installed via Horizontal Directional Drill (HDD). The deisgn of
the project also included relocation of 16' forcemains, 24'
watermains, 8' watermains, and the deveopment of a fire
protection system for the managed lanes. Our company was
responsible for the roadway design and maintenance of traffic
design for one mile of the mainline roadway, including Nob Hill
Road interchange as the Engineer of Record. Our company
also prepared the pavement design for the entire project as
Enqineer of Record.
Owner /Agency, FDOT District 4
Client Name, 3400 West Commercial Boulevard
address, Ft.
