PROJECT EXPERIENCE
Northeast 163i4 St. Emergency Repair - Sunny Isles Beach, FL
Remove and replace 48' PCCP force main and deteriorated
manholes. After a large sinkhole developed on Sunny Isles Blvd,
MDWSD required the immediate mobilization and repair of their
critical force -main out of the beach. Work was completed ahead of
schedule and with minimal impact to traffic.
Turnpike and Sunrise Boulevard Crossings - Plantation, FL
In-house design build of three critical directional drills required by the
turnpike to relocate the city's water main within six months. The
project required quick turnaround of design, permits and construction.
Mr. Castillo anticipated all the delays and circumvented the typical
red tape delivering the project ahead of schedule and on budget.
Northeast 6" Avenue Drainage - Oakland Pork, FL
Over 2,600 feet of 4x6 box culvert. Original design called for the
box culvert to be installed vertically, which would have resulted in
major utility support and massive de- watering. Mr. Castillo succeeded
in convincing the engineer, the city, and the county to revise the
design to horizontal installation, thereby saving time and impact to
the residents
Broadview Park BPI - Broward County, FL
Installed 105,000 feet of 8' -12" ductile iron water main and 16'
transmission main through a neighborhood of over 2,000 homes.
The scope of this work included water services, fire hydrants, large
meter vaults, a major road crossing, insertion valves on existing
mains, private property water service connections, and restoration.
Nautilus, Neighborhood #7 Rightof -Way - Miami Beach, FL
Installed new 8' water main and connecting homes in front and rear,
drainage improvements including over 250 structures, 18,000 feet of
drainage pipe, and six pump stations as well as lighting, landscape,
and hardscope improvements. Construction had to contend with
accommodating residents and working around two schools and a
hospital. Close coordination with homeowners, schools, businesses,
and public transportation was essential. The overall approach to the
project was to provide quality improvements with minimal impact to
residents.
St. George East - Broward County, FL
Project consisted of complete R/W improvements including sanitary
sewers, water mains, drainage, Swale reconstruction, new curbs,
sidewalks, driveways, landscaping irrigation, and road
reconstruction. This project encompassed a school, park, and a
church requiring site specific MOT and the protection of school
children. We routinely coordinated work through the homeowners
association and attended various homeowner meetings. The Owner
also added $3 million worth of 20' water main extension and
directional drill.
