The <br />existing vertical lift span is nonoperoble. <br />Sunset Drive Bridge Emergency Repairs, Miami Beach, <br />Florida, FDOT District 6' <br />Project Engineer for the inspection, load rating and emergency <br />repairs of a ten span, two hundred fifty -foot bridge. <br />Superstructure type consisted of steel girders supporting a cost - <br />in-ploce concrete deck. Steel girders were nearly corroded and <br />bearing supports required replacement /rehabilitation. Repairs <br />were performed so that the bridge could be replaced at a later <br />date. <br />SR -5 (USA) Jewfish Creek Ramp Bridges, Key Largo, <br />1992 -1994 FDOT District 6' <br />Project Engineer for the Preparation of bridge plans and bridge <br />development report for Mro, access ramp interchanges. The <br />south access ramps consist of approximately 1200 lineor feet of <br />two-lane bridge structure with six -foot shoulders. The design of <br />the ramps includes the design of a 120 -foot span tie-in along <br />the alignment of the main bridge. The access ramps themselves <br />include almost 90 degree curves with a 56 -foot radius. The <br />ramp design also includes a north interchange ramp consisting <br />of 1800 linear feet of roadway embankment using geogrids <br />This includes the preparation of Tragic Control Plans for the <br />entire corridor, as well as the preparation of T.C.P. Plans for the <br />emergency repair of the existing bascule bridge. Project also <br />included the design of a low-level bridge along old SR- 5/US -1. <br />The purpose of this structure was to act as a wildlife crossing tot <br />the American Crocodile. <br />Various Field Bridge Inspection' <br />Field Engineer for various inspections and studies of bridges <br />including metallurgical and other types of nondestructive <br />material testing for steel and concrete structures in need of <br />rehabilitation. <br />Unnamed Branch Bridge on CR -2343, Bay County, <br />FDOT District 3' <br />Project Engineer for a bridge development report and plans to <br />replace an existing 30-foot span bridge with a skewed double <br />barrel reinforced concrete box culvert. Design of modified <br />foundation system for a detour route bailey bridge. <br />FDOT Stnxtural Steel Bridge Inspection' <br />Assisted in the administration and coordination of inspection <br />services for the fabrication of structural steel for FDOT bridges <br />statewide. Reviewed and maintained welding procedures, <br />maintained summaries and tracked fabrication progress. <br />Interacted with FDOT Materials office. <br />Cornell Branch Bridge on Cornell Drive, Bay County, <br />FDOT District 3' <br />Project Engineer for the preparation of a bridge development <br />report and plans to replace an existing 30-foot span bridge with <br />a double barrel reinforced concrete box culvert. The box culvert <br />was design as a modified box culvert with increased height <br />endwalls and phased construction in order to maintain creek <br />flows <br />Roosevelt Blvd. / Oakland Park Blvd. Bascule Bridge <br />Rehabilitation, FDOT District 4' <br />Project Engineer for rehabilitation plans of the Bascule bridge <br />approaches for one 7 -span structure and one 27 -span structure. <br />Rehabilitated components include abutments, piling, bent caps, <br />roadway approaches, and tender facilities. This includes the <br />preparation of Traffic Control Plans for the rehabilitations- <br />SR-482 (Sandlake Road) and SR -435 (Kirkman Road) <br />Interchange Widening, Orange County, Florida, FDOT <br />District 5 <br />Senior Structural Engineer for the widening of five AASHTO <br />Beam Type bridge structures to include reconstruction / <br />resurfacing of roadway approaches. Five bridges require <br />prestress beam repairs, widening towards median as well as to <br />the exterior. Due to severe clearance restrictions, use of <br />modified AASHTO Type lit beams was required. <br />1-95 over SR-40 Bridge Replacements, Volusia County, <br />Florida, Florida Department of Transportation - District 5' <br />Project Engineer for the design of the replacement of the existing <br />twin three span structures over SR-40 with a new twin single <br />span structure The new structures provide a 40-meter (131.25) <br />clear opening beneath 1 -95. The typical section consists of six <br />lane divided with 3 -meter I 1 foot) shoulders. The superstructure <br />is supported by prestressed piling and MSE Walls for the <br />embankment <br />SR -70 Bridge Replacement over Slough Ditch, Fisheating <br />Creek and Harney Pond, Highlands County, Florida <br />Department of Transportation, District 1' <br />Senior Structural Engineer for the preparation of bridge plans <br />for the replacement of a 195 foot bridge structure over the <br />S. F. W.M. D. and the C-4IA Canal. The proposed structure is a <br />210 foot seven span cast -in -place bridge using phased <br />construction.
