Florida <br />Severability; Providing for Repeal of Conflicting Provisions; Providing for Inclusion in the <br />Code; and Providing for an Effective Date. <br />(First Reading 09/19/13) <br />Action: City Clerk Hines read the title, and City Attorney Ottinot said this is a public safety <br />Ordinance that was requested by the City Manager and his staff requiring construction sites <br />and vacant lots to install visible address sign in order for the Police and Code Enforcement to <br />identify a property. <br />Public Speakers: None <br />Vice Mayor Aelion moved and Commissioner Levin seconded a motion to adopt the <br />Ordinance on second reading. A Resolution of the City Commission of the City of Sunny Isles Beach, Florida, Recognizing <br />October 20 -26, 2013 as City Government Week, and Encouraging All Citizens to Support <br />the Celebration and Corresponding Activities; Authorizing the City Manager to Do All <br />Things Necessary to Effectuate this Resolution; Providing for an Effective Date. <br />Action: City Clerk Hines read the title, and City Manager Russo reported we will do <br />everything we can to promote it and do some educational partnerships with it to make people <br />more aware of Government Week. <br />Public Speakers: None <br />Commissioner Scholl moved and Vice Mayor Aelion seconded a motion to approve the <br />resolution. Resolution No. 2013 -2122 was adopted by a voice vote of 5 -0 in favor. <br />IOB. A Resolution of the City Commission of the City of Sunny Isles Beach, Florida, Expressing <br />Support for the November 8, 2013 Parade Commemorating the 50 "' Anniversary of the <br />Vietnam War, Sponsored by the Miami -Dade County Military Affairs Board Welcoming <br />Home and Remembering Vietnam Veterans; Providing the City Manager with the Authority <br />to Do All Things Necessary to Effectuate this Resolution; Providing for an Effective Date. <br />Action: City Clerk Hines read the title, and City Manager Russo said this was a request of <br />the Miami -Dade County Military Affairs Board that is sponsoring this Parade. <br />Public Speakers: None <br />Vice Mayor Aelion moved and Commissioner Gatto seconded a motion to approve the <br />resolution.
