An Ordinance of the City Commission of the City of Sunny Isles Beach, Florida, Granting <br />to Peoples Gas System, a Division of Tampa Electric Company, a Florida Corporation <br />and its Successors and Assigns, a Non - Exclusive Natural Gas Franchise Agreement to <br />Use the Public Rights -of -Way of the City of Sunny Isles Beach, and Prescribing the <br />Terms and Conditions Under which Said Franchise May be Exercised; Making Findings; <br />Providing for Acceptance; Providing for Severability; Providing for an Effective Date; and <br />Repealing Prior Ordinance. <br />(First Reading 09/19/13) <br />Action: City Clerk Hines read the title, and City Attorney Ottinot reported. <br />Public Speakers: None <br />Vice Mayor Aelion moved and Commissioner Gatto seconded a motion to adopt the <br />Ordinance on second reading. An Ordinance of the City Commission of the City of Sunny Isles Beach, Florida, Amending <br />Section 197 -18 of the City Code Relating to Revocation of Local Business License; <br />Providing for Severability; Providing for Repeal of Conflicting Provisions; Providing for <br />Inclusion in the Code; and Providing for an Effective Date. <br />(First Reading 09/19/13) <br />Action: City Clerk Hines read the title, and City Attorney Ottinot said this is a consumer <br />protection Ordinance sponsored by Commissioner Gatto which basically prohibits local <br />businesses from imposing a surcharge on the use of credit cards. <br />Public Speakers: None <br />Commissioner Scholl moved and Vice Mayor Aelion seconded a motion to adopt the <br />Ordinance on second reading.
